With 10 of the 20 playing in the LIT starting today we should know more regarding the Louisville schools, Franklin & Ashland. I believe Etown & Henderson are where they belong. The LIT is going to be a great tournament.

The LIT rankings are nice to look at but in the end mean very little. Yes Etown is by far the best team in the state and Henderson Co is very good. The computer takes margin of victory into account and in girls high school basketball this can skew the results. The only 2 Louisville area schools left out(i think) are Sacred Heart amd Bullitt East. SHA is very talented and getting better each week. BE has lost 5 games to 4 KY schools ranked in the preseason top 15 and the #2 ranked team in MO. Bottom line is there is no way to accurately rank these teams across the state.

The Girls LIT consist of the Top 12 teams(based on the Litkenhous rankings) in the 6th & 7th region and 4 teams from the state for a total of 16 teams. Teams from the 6 & 7 can opt out if they want. Cant imagine Butler deciding not to play. The Lit rankings will be out next Thursday, according to Jason Frakes.

Butler not playing in What? the LIT? Have not heard that one.......

Correction, the BE event is November 22. I will try to post the complete schedule soon.

December 22 at Bullitt East there will be games all day. BE plays ACS, I think Mercy/Mercer Co play. SHA, Clay Co, NB amoung the other teams coming.
