  1. A real good place for a burger is DeLight's in Downtown Maysville, but I'm not real sure on what time they close. But other than that there isn't really a "burger joint" other than fast food. Another couple good places are Greg's Pizza or Pasquale's. Penn Station is always a good bet as well.

DeSha's? They don't get a shout out? Good burgers...and good steaks.

I also like the Mexican place next to the Movie Theatre.

    CCH5432, I hope you're right and I'm wrong -- it'll make the drive home more palatable. :D

  2. Many of my fellow UK fans slay me. In the "Harris is hurt" thread a few weeks ago I say no big deal, he isn't impactful. I'm roundly hammered and told Harris is a potential big-timer. Now, after another showing of Harris being useless, everyone jumps on the Harris stinks wagon. No worries, I'll make room.

I agree, Vitale was dead wrong. It's way more than 5% of the UK fan base Dicky....he underestimated.

  3. Looking forward to making the trip down to Maysville on Friday night.

As T.O.G mentioned, CCH has a game with SHDHS first, but I'll bravely throw out that I expect CCH to struggle in the Fieldhouse. Hope I'm wrong, but this is a TOUGH road-trip for a team that has some coming together to do still.

Over the AA and through the woods (aka Bracken Co.).......

  4. Hate to have miss this one tomorrow night (but do look forward to getting the final in a text from CSHS81 as soon as it is over). I don't think there is any question that LexCath has the advantage starting the season, however, Maile, Noll, and Bondick do give them some continuity.

I expect LexCath to win a very close one (in an electric atmosphere). I'll be shocked if the Colonels fall by something in the vicinity of 15.

  5. hey, what would Dave Ramsey think about this philosophy! ha

I'm glad you said it because I was thinking it. Smart fiscal posts in the thread where applicable and waste a-lot in the thread where applicable. Everything to everybody. ;):D:p

  6. CSHS, some of the most entertaining chapters of the book touch on topics like "never loan money to a friend / family". His point, and I agree, is if you have it and they need it give it to them -- don't expect it back. It is that last portion that ruins the relationship. It really is a good read, agree with him on all points or not.

  7. CSHS, I have his book and will happily lend it to you. It will answer your "questions" far more accurately and with greater explanation that any of us could do in a post in this thread.

I've never listened to his show but did read the book and do like the basics of his (admittedly common sense) program. The debt snowball method worked very well for the wife and I a few years back (and cshs, I know what you're thinking...don't type it). Like many others have said, the only debt I have is our house (houses, technically, but one has rent to cover the mortgage / expenses) and my car. We actually use our credit card very often, to pick up Capital One Go Miles, but it gets paid off every month.

Count me in as a Dave Ramsey fan. However, to CSHS' points, I think Dave is the best solution when you are debt-heavy -- not when you get into the wealth building portion of your life.

  8. Iverson has nights where he shoots 12% from the floor, and that's wth 35 shots or so. When in the 4 games you've watched has OJ not "laid it on the line?"

Not saying OJ isn't laying it on the line, but I don't remember the last game that AI played in where he only attempted 2 free throws.

For the record, can we please stop comparing a 23 year old kid (;)) to the greatest player of all-time 6' and under? If OJ has 1/2 the scoring average in NBA career that AI has it'll be a successful career for the youngster from WVA.

    Please make it stop....

  9. I am in two Football leagues and one NBA league on ESPN. I've used ESPN for on-line Fantasy for years and really like it. We use YAHOO for our "big money" football league and I hate it. It's mostly the look of it that I don't like, just to be fair.

Our baseball league is CBSSportsline and we like that a lot. Have used them for 5+ years.

I still tend to gravitate towards the leagues on ESPN but really have no reason for doing so; just habit I guess.
