Looks likeSouthwestern got wooped by East Jessamine by 15. Must be harder to win without having referees that are your buddies 😂. Looking at EJ games so far I would say that Southwestern must be pretty embarrassed. After all the best team in the 12th can't take care of business. Didn't see any losses like that last year when we were the best.

Poor fella. Why should a team need an excuse for a two point loss on another team's home court? There is a loser every game. Losses like this mean that you are playing good competition. Making excuses? I thought the game could have gone either way. The only bashing I have ever done is about BYLAW 6, dirty players, and incompetent referees. I do make comments on posts by people that think just because they say or post something it must be true. Rankings are out there because it keeps people interested in the game. There are many deserving teams that never make a top 20 list. If you haven't realized it yet, I have never mentioned anything about rankings because at the high school level it only shows interest in a team. It doesn't mean that a loss to an unranked team should be embarrassing. And lastly if you think referees can't swing a game by 20-30 points or more you must be living under a rock. It happens at every level of play. I don't have the stats from the game the other night but a play by play box score tells a lot about the way a game is called. Fans are never a good source of grading a referee. At least we can agree on the Dyehouse woman. Please take her credentials away! No place for a fraud like her in a striped shirt.

Lincoln was awesome weren't they? Wayne didn't play their A game did they? Wayne doesn't have a bench and two of the big three were sitting on the bench at the end of the game. What was it a 20 point blow out? Oh that's right ... it was two!

Don't mean to bust your bubble but Wayne won three out of the four quarters. Controlling the whole game means you win every quarter. To win by two is one of the slimmest margins you can win by. A 50/50 call and a ridiculous technical called by a referee who was awful making one sided calls in the girls game in the first game of the double header isn't much to crow about. Wayne didn't play well in the first quarter but controlled the rest of the game. Taylor shot lights out and his team won by two. Scary isn't it?

Early regular season game. Two point loss away from home. I think it is the type of game that will make both teams better. Maybe we should be playing Burgin like the black and gold? Check out the final score. For all the talk of how well Lincoln played and how unstoppable Timmy Taylor is, Wayne won three out of four quarters. It came down to a 50/50 call and the Dyehouse woman calling a technical from halfway across the court because she thinks one of the players made a comment about the call. She says she can read lips. lol Two of the big three starters fouled out. How many were sitting for Linclon? I think we are going to be just fine. lol

The best always do have a target on their back. Ineptitude is unskillfullness resulting from a lack of training. Bad calls are part of games at every level. I was laughing at the comments about us not doing well at Rupp. The numbers speak for themselves. No team can win when the odds are decided before the game. I'm looking forward to the competition in the 12th this year. About time we had some good basketball. Too bad some teams continue to increase their chances of winning with the addition of outside talent. This is all too common a problem due to the lack of control the KHSAA has over its member schools because of the legal system. Even Cordia gets to play 15 games this year with all the infractions they had. If you can't enforce rules things tend to escalate. I've heard all the negativity on this site when enforcement of the rules are mentioned. All the whining about it isn't fair to the kids. When kids work hard to have a good team so they can win the region, why should others be allowed to circumvent the rules? If Wayne County doesn't win the region this year, the next best choice would be Lincoln County. I don't know of any transfers into their program.

Can't win with players on the bench. Our main player fouled out in the third with a total of 14 minutes played. Our best defender fouled out with 18 minutes played. Not anything for us to be ashamed about. The best team doesn't always win. I remember #2 Kentucky getting beat at Tennessee 77-78 and then beating Tennessee 16 days later at the SEC tournament 101-40. Kentucky had 23 fouls called on them in the loss. Wonder what the score would have been if they had 30 fouls called on them with 3 starters fouling out and the other two having four fouls each? We did pretty good to be that close.

By your standards you have always been an embarrassment. You have never won a game at state. This year you've played Burgin (0-25 last year) and Spencer (9-21 last year). What are you worthy of playing those teams? We don't rank ourselves. Guess people don't like you very much.

We lost by seven. We beat you twice by double digits. Apply your reasoning to that.

hmmm. Seven point loss with three starters fouled out. One of them early in the third. Total of 30 fouls on six man rotation? Nothing to be embarrassed about. Two double digit losses. By your standards what does that say about you? No wins ever at state .... use your standards and evaluate yourself.

Of course it doesn't matter. And obviously you don't have to be great to be a rebel. You can get the great ones to transfer in.

Yawn. We beat the black and gold twice last year by double digits each time. Don't see transfers coming hear to build up the program.

You're funny. We do have a runner up finish in the sweet 16. The black and gold have never won a game at state. If you read the box score from our game last year at the sweet 16 you'll find a team that was never in foul trouble and played only six players had 9 fouls in the first quarter (other team only had 3), only 2 in the second quarter when the subs where in, and 9 again in the third quarter. Doesn't take a genus to figure out what was going on.

Another out of county transfer or two and you should be proud of what you didn't produce locally.

This video shows what Timmy is notorious for. He gets a technical for a butt slap, but if you watch you will see him swat at a player's groin area (which is what he is known for).

You must not remember coach Jeff Hall and Rose Hill Christian back in 2001/02 and 2002/03. O.J. Mayo and Bill Walker. I bet those raised eye brows did wonders back then like they do now. Cheaters will cheat and gullible people will sing their praises!

I applaud his loyalty to his school and community as well. Congratulations on the scholarship offer.

We have one for who can be president of the United States don't we? We have rules for who can vote. We have laws against things we consider crimes. When parents move they know (or should if they are interested in their kid) that eligibility will be in question because rules are in place to keep athletics secondary and education primary. Rules are there to prevent recruitment and persuasion of a child to transfer to another school for the athletic success of a coach and school. It is obvious how many of these transfers are made for those reasons. Once again a post season ban would not include the regular season. The post season is the main reasons that illegitimate transfers are made.

The difference there is that academics don't just take the gifted student - all are welcome. All take the test.

I see some people have trouble with comprehending that the post season ban does not include the regular season. Most of the kids that transfer for athletic reasons also play AAU ball. Don't kid yourself into thinking that these kids are transferring for other reasons than athletics. If that is true sitting out the post season shouldn't be a problem.
