  1. Final from Taylor Mill
  2. In my opinion Dixie has the best pitching top to bottom in the 9th region.
  3. The 8th region has at least 10 teams with winning records, and half of them already have 5 or more wins.
  4. It was a pitcher's duel for 5 innings. Simon Kenton pulled away late. Marcum gets the win and Lohr got the loss.
  5. Not a good performance today for S.K. Struggled at the plate and made to many errors in the field. Lawrence got through 3 innings pitching, Marcum had to close out the game.
  6. Congrats to Marcum and Mundy a couple of talented hard working kids who should excel at the next level.
  7. Broken forearm in practice before regionals.
  8. From my understanding Marcum only sat after pitching and a couple games early in the season. He played right field well, batted second and hit for average.
  9. In my opinion, out of the 50 players listed there is at least 10 players who should not be ranked this high. It is a travesty that Adam Daria and Tristen Marcum are not on this list!
  10. I also was told the second game did not count because it was not scheduled, but i guess i was misinformed also. Wassom, Marcum, mundy, Smith, Lawrence, Burge, and Jones all hit well on the day. Richardson hit a solo home run in the first game.
  11. Fern Creek up 4-0 early. Simon Kenton battled back but fell short in the eigth inning.
  12. Simon Kenton starts off well with good pitching and hitting.
  13. Simon Kentons varsity roster. (Seniors) Travis Bryson, Zach Davis, Micheal Mundy, Grant Wassom, Andrew Kappes, Austin Richardson, Luke Campbell, Brad Mulberry, Tyler Smith and Tristen Marcum. (Juniors) Sean Lawrence, robert Smith, Price Burge, Dakota Jones and Garrett Ainsworth. (Sophomore) Logan Scott?
  14. Joe and Chase had pretty good summer's with Blue wave baseball. Joe played second base well but struggled with hitting due to the injury. He did not pitch much either. Not sure if that was because of the injury or because they had a loaded pitching staff. I'm sure by now he should be back to form and have a productive season.
  15. I saw the region was being played at Anderson County on a schedule. Certainly schedule's are not always right but i think it would only be fair for Anderson to host. From what i have read they had to play the majority of their games on the road last year due to the renovations.
  16. i earlier commented i thought the 8th region tourney was being held at Henry County, but have discovered it will in fact be at Anderson County. I thought i heard they were building a new field last year. Does anyone know if this is true?
  17. All four of the player's you mentioned should have good season's in the field and at the plate, along with Lawrence. Bryson, Richarson and Purge also have the ability for good season's at the plate. It appears Smith will be their third starter behind Marcum and Lawrence. Ainsworth along with Campbell, Bryson and Mulberry should round out the staff. Not sure what Ainsworth's role will be but do expect him to get some innings.
  18. Cov Cath will be loaded with seniors. I think they had about 25 kids on the team last year and about 11 were juniors.
  19. My senior darkhorse players would include, Daria and King (Dixie) Marcum, Wassom and Mundy (Simon Kenton) Huff (Bellevue) Rogers (St Henry) and Castleman (Scott).
