I have had the opportunity to see both these teams play this season against Scott . I will have to go with Mason County in a close one by 7.
-
Scott Eagles in the hunt ...sitting at 4. Have no issues with these standings . Looks right .
-
31 to 19 . Newcath .
-
Coopers defense will be to stout , for Ryles Offense . Marcus Watson will give Ryles line a fit .
As for TCA , I am predicting a huge night out of him. He will run ALL OVER Ryles defense . Cooper wins by 14.
-
I say Highlands by 10.
-
Think Highlands will struggle to stop Dixie's running game, conversely Dixie will struggle stopping Highlands passing game. I'll take Dixie in a close one Dixie 28 Birds 27.:thumb:
Scott Eagles from Taylormill held Dixie to 7 points and that came off a defensive touchdown after a bad snap by Scott. Scott also went on to win 36 to 7 at Dixie. Many people said Scott would not have a chance beating Highlands . Shocked you do not have Highlands by 40 ??
-
Cov Cath by 2 or more touchdowns.
-
The Bourbon County game , will be a key game for the Eagles. This bi week will be a good time to heal up some bumps and bruises before this battle.
It would be great to see these boys take down Bourbon County and Holmes . (The last 2 district games .)
-
I say it depends on which Harrison team shows up. If it is raining, I give this one to Harrison Co. They play well in the rain.
It will be raining !! I still go with Scott on home Turf .
-
Great to hear !! Good luck , and enjoy the Tennessee visit !!
-
No- wouldn't happen. Wouldn't matter who Scott had- Highlands wins this matchup. Scott with way too many two way players playing a one dimensional game. As poor as Highlands has looked in games vs tough 6A competition, they would look extremely healthy against Scott
I never said Scott would beat them for sure . I said infact , Highlands would maybe win , but Scott would hang in there better than people are giving them credit for .
-
Highlands did not score a touchdown against Simon Kenton. Scott will, and if they do will you say Scott is better.
Great point !! Also scott beat Dixie by 29. So who cares if Highlands beats Dixie by 20 or more , Scott did it . This is a down year for Highlands , and Scott is having probably the best season in school history . I think with that being said if they played each other it would be a good game and maybe Highlands would win , but Scott would hold thier own in this matchup (this year ).

I checked the KHSAA website. Didn't see a "should have won" column.:lol2:
I agree , I said that in reference to someone stated on this thread , Newcath should of beaten Scott that they were at the game . Scott found a way to win that one as Tucker made a heads up play and the team rallied behind him and won !! It is a game for a reason . Just like Conner . Scott defense held run game down in the first half , until Tucker got injured and did not return in the second half . Conner then had thier way with the run game . Scott is not a bad team, they are not deep in numbers . But they do not deserve some of the trash talk that some posters post. I am not saying you on that as much as radierrailbird saying the things he has about the program and things he has said on some kids making it to college level .
-
Scott should of beaten Conner . As far as SK they have been blowing all the teams out of the water . I have no doubt they are better than Scott with the depth . I see Scott losing by a good margin unfortunately to SK, as would many teams this season. Scott is not as awful as you say . They beat NCC ! Yes u say shouldn't and yet they did . They also will finish out well, as long as they can overcome the injuries . I see Scott hosting a Playoff game this season . If they do , that is great for them and an improvement for the program . As for the athletes on this years roster, many will be missed after this season . There are some of these boys , that will end up playing at the next level as well despite your opinion MR. Raiderrailbird. I Do not understand what your beef is with the program and the kids . I think Scott at 7 is a reasonable spot , and not to far fetched.
-
NCC and lloyd would but not scott?
Everyone still hates on Scott ! Geesh.
-
I think Flyers has this one , but we hope Collins and Kyle Goss can have a solid game , and find away to keep it close . Good luck Titans !
-
This will be a week Beechwood can work in some of the backups , and rest the studs after 1st quarter . Running clock .
-
Don't rule out Scott Eagles from Taylormill sitting quietly in the 5 spot. They were hit with some injuries the past couple of weeks , but most are healthy and Junior Gage Tucker will be returning in couple weeks. Noise in Taylormill this week ..it is homecoming !!!
-
Scott still hanging in the top 10 !! Always a good thing !!
-
This is Homecoming week here in Taylormill and I think the Eagles will be fired up for this one !! I think Scott wins this one in front of the home crowd !!
-
Seay has a boot. But I question his ability to be a good kicker without that much practice or game experience, I could just be arguing about nothing but that pops in my mind first. Scott is playing very good at the moment, I do think they need to be a little more disciplined on D. Need to keep key players injury free.
I think he will be fine. He is very athletic and plays basketball, as well as Soccer and does have a good leg. He is there to soley kick the ball , much practice with football is not as cruicial for his role at this point . As far as injuries , I agree it has hit the team , yet we are slowly bouncing back , with players returning weekly. I know Tucker is probably out for a few more weeks , last I heard. As far as penalties . Scott has to find away to stop them . The further this season goes along , the penalties could hurt in close games, especially playoffs . Should be a good week for Homecoming !! Go Eagles !!
-
Mason county had some good plays against Scott, they just have to capitalize in the redzone. They left to many plays on the field. But I can tell you one thing Mason county has a lot of sophomore and juniors starting on both sides of the ball and they will be more experience next year I think that's the team to beat next year!
But for the rest of this season they still have
Vs. Bourbon
@ . Harrison
@ . Holmes
Vs . West Union
@ . Conner
It's going to be a tough season for the royals
I can maybe see a good game with Mason and Holmes . I would not rule out a close Harrison game as well. Good luck moving forward in the season .
-
Good win on the road !! Homecoming this week against Harrison County. Stay on course Eagles !!

Calling for rain ..on tonight's homecoming game in Mason County. Hopefully lightning stays away !!
