It was very impressive. He is clearly one of the best high school shooters in the NKy area I have seen in some time. Williams guarded him most of the second half and could do very little to stop him. Two very bad calls at the end cost Williamstown the game. Williams went over the back on the free throw miss rebound (at the least it should have been a jump ball), instead foul was called on Williamstown player. After that Williamstown threw length of court pass that Owen intercepted but clearly stepped on baseline. Williamstown should have had the ball underneath their basket with a second and change for a shot to tie or win. Very disappointing to see the game end this way after the way both teams competed. 8th region officials are among the worst in the state.

David Jump had 39 with 9 3's to lead the Demons. Brennan Stanley added 13 and Jon Jump 12. Michael Dunaway led Trimble with 23. Andrew Young chipped in 14, Evan Long 11, and Josh Rexroat 10. Demons were down 14 in the 3rd but came back to end the quarter down 6. Outscored Trimble 20-12 in 4th to win by 2.

If you haven't seen him I suggest going to watch one of Williamstown's games. David Jump is the best player in the 32nd and one of the best in the region. Simon put Kuntz and several others on him and no one could stop him. He hung 40 on Simon, 37 on Owen, 43 on Grant in his last three games. Simon & Grant have more players than Williamstown but none better than Jump. BTW, #14 is his brother (only a Frosh). He has a bright future as well.

Just glanced at the scoring list. Anyone know anything about Jump from Williamstown. I live up in Nky and haven't heard anything about him. Based on his free throw attempts it looks like he knows how to draw fouls.
