Had a twitter exchange with an overzealous jerk Riverview fan bragging about CVH getting shutdown. Can't stand when people tear HS Kids down.

When you state you shut a player down, why is that tearing a kid down. Just maybe some of that came from CVH having his web page, just wondering.

You seem to say this about every kid that has touched the Holmes program, and sometimes it just doesn't turn out that way from what I can see. Maybe I just need to have my vision checked.

The gym was at 80% capacity for tonight's tourney. Lloyd's games are usually only about 10-15% full.

I was in attendance tonight. Great crowd at Scheben gym this evening. I had to park in front of legendary Coach Mote Hils house. For you non E-towners that is about 2 blocks away.

 

Juggs up 1 at the half. Conner amped up the defense in the 3rd quarter. Spencer Hemmerich was in a boot on the bench. Congrats to both teams.

That's because they have a very small parking lot,,crowd was ok, but I don't know about great,,pretty good game for a half.

I guarantee I've seen more teams in these rankings than you have and you actually get paid to do it. I'm doing it for free. I'll make it down to see your precious South Laurel team sooner or later and if you want to give me gas money, pay for my time missed at my job(26 bucks an hour) and make sure they aren't playing on a day when my son is playing I'll come watch them. Until then they need to beat somebody. Period.

When the bright lights go up this Montgomery team tries to win the game from 3 land. You can't win games against really good teams and live and die with the 3.

I agree, but Montgomery was in the game until the last 4 minutes of the game. Mercer is bigger and much more athletic, the better won.

Not sure of his environment but he can play. A very good athlete. He is a potential next level guy somewhere if he can get some things worked out. Could make a difference in his life.

Seems like he has always had a chip on his shoulder.

Has to be frustrating for Coach L and his coaching staff, knowing their team could very easily be 9-1 (instead of 5-5) right now if they could simply finish games.

 

Led by 4 (?) with under a minute left v Daviess Co. Lost in OT by 1.

Led by 3 late in 4th qtr v Newport. Lost by 5

Led 42-37 win under 2 minutes left v Cooper. Lost by 2 on Hendrix FT's with 7 seconds left.

Led 51-40 heading in to the 4th qtr tonight. Lost by 3.

It's more than just finishing games, with exception Cooper, these games should have been over mid way in he 3rd quarter.

Not a good night on the hilltop for the Cats, as they were without the services of Freshman Dontaie Allen, who was out tonight (and tomorrow as well) with a medical issue.

Have you seen them live? Thinking about going down to Somerset on Tuesday evening - hope they're still in the winners bracket.

I have seen them twice, they're not unbeatable as the 8/1 proves, but they're pretty solid, Their only lost was to Oldham County, who is also a pretty good club.
