Unofficially Jackson with 21. Wilson with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Losey with 10. Camels out-rebound HC 38-17.
Camels 7-13 from 3 point range (53.8%). HC 9-29 from behind the arc (31%). HC definitely lives and dies by the 3.

Apparently fouled him all night based on comments above....
-
Wilson finished with 16 points on 8-14 shooting, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. Deondre Jackson added 10 and Blake Losey 7. McGovney, Neltner, and Franzen with 5 each.
-
Camels get off to slow start missing their first 5 shots. Dixie takes early 5-2 lead. Camels settle in and take 11-9 lead to end the first quarter.

Ready to tip it up in Alexandria.

JV played at Campbell.
Campbell County JV shut out Conner 2-0 on a complete game pitching performance by Conner Walsh. Kid pitched a heck of a game ... and yes it was cold up on the hill.

First, JC does absolutely nothing to get the two bigs the ball. They just play...which is why they will get dusted Friday by Scott Co. Second, everyone seems to be talking about the last 10 seconds or so. IMO the turning point of the game was when CC took a needless timeout with 5 mins left in the 3rd quarter. A CC was even attacking the basket which would have given them a 10 point lead. Out of the timeout, they turn it over and JC hits a 3. Now a 5 point game and the game was never the same after.
I was wondering about that myself ... Not sure what happened there as it looked like they were ready to make a layup. ??

Bueller ....? Bueller .....? Bueller .....? Heading down tomorrow afternoon in my new 10th Region Champs t-shirt.

Congrats to all of the 10th Region selections. Aric Russell very deserving for getting his kids to Rupp. Was voting before or after the tourney? A little surprised to not see Matt Wilson on 1st team. :idunno:

I think it's important for the Camels to get off to a good start to keep that confidence rolling. I'm sure they'll be mesmerized a bit by the environment but a good first qtr would be huge. I think the magic continues for another game.... Camels 63-61.

Congrats to the Camels and coaching staff on a great run. Holbrook, Wilson, and Jackson did what they do. Wilson has been a force inside; Jackson scores any way you want him to and Holbrook put the team on his back when Jackson fouled out. Not to be overlooked, McGovney, Losey, Geiman, and both Franzens all stepped up and played solid minutes during District and Regional tourney. A great team effort including the guys who push those above everyday in practice. Camels be proud and hold your heads high for tonight you are CHAMPIONS. :ylsuper:

As stated in another thread, if any 10th region fans are looking for a team to root for, we have plenty of room on the wagon and will take all the help we can get. :dancingpa
Throw on your best purple shirt and come put to the Fieldhouse. Should be a good one. Go Camels!

If anybody in the 10th region is looking for a team to root for, wear your best purple shirt to the Fieldhouse tonight; we've got room on the wagon and will take all the help we can get. Best of luck to the Camels and Pioneers and good luck to CovCath at Rupp.

Wilson's gonna be a beast in a couple of years. Almost as impressive as his stat-filling line was 8-10 from the charity stripe. Nice touch tonight - and by far the best game he's had in the limited number of games I've seen him play. Holbrook was a real floor general tonight - really stepped up when Jackson had to sit with foul trouble.
Harrison was down 5 with 1:50 to play; identical to their situation in their earlier tourney game against Clark County when they came back to win. I told my boy RP that Campbell wasn't going to allow a similar comeback.
It wouldn't be a huge shocker to see both of these teams in next year's semi or even final game. Both have A LOT coming back.
I would also mention that Campbell County JV team only lost 4 games this year by a combined total of 11 points (Dixie by 5; CovCath by 1; Mason Co. by 3: and Brossart by 2)

......
I've been a huge fan of this Campbell Co team all year, I love their trio of Holbrook / Jackson / Wilson, but I think this may be asking a little too much for them. When the Camels played CovCath they struggled with ball pressure, and I think Montgomery Co is similar in that they'll be able to heat up the Camel ball-handlers and cause a lot of turnovers for touchdowns.
Would love to be wrong and see the Camels advance, but they are going to have to do a great job handling the ball and keeping their turnover count low (especially live-ball turnovers which I'm afraid will be their undoing).
I definitely agree that CC will have to take care of the ball and limit TOs to win and also that free throws will be huge. CC is playing well now and will have to continue to be patient on offense and work for the good shots. Playing great TEAM ball right now. MoCo is very athletic, can score quickly and is a great team. Going with the Camels to pull off the upset.

Holbrook seems to be on a mission.

Apparently the officiating crew picked up the lead singer from Rascal Flatts to help officiate this game ... and he is NOT good.

Its possible but i know for a fact that the Augusta fans are planning on getting there way in advance of the first game so the can get premium seats in the lower levels, and they bring darn near the whole town when they play. Im concerned about getting a seat my self. I guess i will have to get there about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before the tip of the first game to get a seat i will be happy with. All four of these teams bring alot of fans with them, and I would go out on a limb and say not very many people will be hitting the exits at the conclusion of the first game! :thumb:
... I would put on a little extra deodorant for this one.... The Fieldshouse is going to be a cooker tonight.

Coach Cravens is one of the most humble and classiest coaches that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. First Class husband, dad, coach, and friend to high school athletics. He taught my daughter (as the Varsity Coach @ CC) the value of hard-work, Teamwork, and fairness (on and off the court).
Experienced the same thing when he coached boys and girls at Silver Grove. Always had the kids best interests at heart and represented himself and the school well. Coach Cravens will always be considered a class act in my book. There's a lot more to coaching at the HS level than wins and losses.

Sounds like Mother Nature could also have a say as to when these games might be played .....

Congrats to the Camels on a tough win. Kids played hard and battled to get back into the game after a slow start. Coach Carr had his team ready to play as always. Thought the big difference was much better defense by Camels in 2nd half. You can't give up 24 points in the 1st quarter, or any quarter. Several times in the opening quarter Campbell County just lost track of Ohmer and Schneider for wide open 3s. Camels did a much better job the rest of game. Schneider being in foul trouble hurt Scott; he's a difference maker. And Crim was a beast on the boards. Dre Jackson is nearly unstoppable in the open court and continues to WOW. Matt Wilson was solid inside. IF the Camels continue to play together as a TEAM and not try to do too much individually and play solid defense they will do very well. Big win for the Camels.
For those that were there, any thoughts on the officiating crew?

You can never count out a Brad Carr team this time of year. They are certainly playing well and Blake Schneider has certainly infused some offense and energy into the Eagles. Campbell County has not been playing their best ball as of late, but they're not playing badly either. I think they shake that off and win a close one at the middle school. CC 68 Scott 62.

Pendleton County at Campbell County Cancelled.

Game was at Grant County. Looks like Campbell County made 20 FT so it couldn't be that lopsided in fouls. Also, Grant County shot 54% according to KHSAA stats. Don't know what All In is applying with that statement. Wasn't there but this is a big win for the struggling Braves.
I believe Grant Co. shot close to 60% from behind the arc and over 50% inside the arc and were 27-30 in free throws (unofficially). Grant Co. was in the bonus midway through the 1st quarter. Fouls got evened up later in the game. Not implying at all that referees were a factor as Campbell Co. just had "one of those nights". Didn't shoot well from the field and defense was poor at best. Grant Co. played a heck of a game offensively. Seth Adkins scored at will. Didn't do anything spectacular; just played a solid smart game. Used his body to get position and then just worked his way to the basket. Holbrook went out for a while after he appeared to twist a foot or ankle but came back later in the game. Good win for Grant Co. and very disappointing loss for Campbell Co.

I think Snapp only finished with 3. Camels kept rotating defenders on him throughout the game and I think it wore him down.
