I agree 100% the comments about how many shots he took is obviously someone who didn't see too many games. -

Ilooking at the stats on the khsaa site, Tyler averaged about 16 shots per game. I wouldn't call that a lot. I want my best player shooting the ball. 4 shots per quarter is not a lot . Had someone else stepped up maybe he would not have had to do what he did. I do know that Tyler knew what the talk was, I believe that is why he went wherever he did. -

I too have seen Grant at NKU. They have a couple nice players but even with Carr it would be a stretch. -

[quote name= BBALLKNOWITALL1]Why does every thread go to Carr staying or leaving? GC has a TEAM without him... :thumb: -
If you aren't a jealous parent then why make such a statement about Cummins being the better shooter? That was the whole mentality of the GC team the last 3 years that Coach Hicks was there. Those who felt slighted by not getting the minutes that they thought they deserved because of who they are. This thread is about Coach Grammer being the new coach at GC, not whether Carr is coming back or Cummins being better. These sound like the comments from the same parent who said they hoped Carr didn't break the scoring record at GC.

Cummins shot 36.1% last year. Carr shot 40.2%. Cummins was pretty muched matched up man to man all season. Carr on the other had was face guarded and double teamed all season. If Grant had someone other than Carr to step up in the district championship they would have been district champs! So don't go down that road!

Grant County opening has been filled

A lot of your teachers and admin. don't even live in the county. Whats that have to do with anything? And like I said earlier, 2 things spending money and kids out the door! Grant County has the worst athletic facilities in NKY or in the entire region. Boosters are made to buy uniforms, pay for travel and yet they want to know where all the booster money is coming from. They just want to get their hands on that too! The kids who work hard in school are the ones who are penalized, because the kids that don't work hard get their grades changed so they can pass. Is that helping that child? You can have all the modern technology in the world but if not used correctly,it is virtually useless. So all the talk about smart boards means nothing. Get people in there who care about kids and want to see them be successful. Don't have leadership classes taught by those who can't lead and turn their class loose outside unsupervised to pick up trash. Get board members and a superintendent in place who are willing to talk to the parents and taxpayers without being given the runaround when they call the central office. If you don't believe me call the central office and ask to talk to the superintendent. You will go through 1 and sometimes 2 gatekeepers to screen who is calling and why. If he feels it's relevant he may call you back. Also do away with the special cessions at board meetings to vote on giving away 34k of taxpayer dollars, especially when there are parents and teachers at the meeting who may have actually liked to know what was going on. Don't tell me these things aren't going on I know firsthand they are! Sorry to rant but Grant County School System is the laughing stock of the state it needs change now! -

You may convince others that the administration consists of all these fine upstanding individuals but, some of us know the truth and its not because Coach Hicks filled us in. They care about 2 things and that is how much money they can spend and how many kids they can push out the door with a diploma. They will do whatever it takes no matter how unethical it is! Coach Hicks problems started when the current superintendent was hired along with the little gutless principal they have as she placed all her cronies around her so she didn't have to address things. Problems aren't solved they're swept under the rug and hidden. -

After speaking with a member of the family, it is safe to say he will not be back at Grant. With the chaos that's going on there I don't blame him. SK was never an option. House will be on the market soon and from what I gathered Collins would or could be in the mix. -
