When does spring practice start?
-
When is spring practice? What other positions does Cale Harris play? Who are some others that might make significant contributions?
-
Really hoping Lorenzen gets a shot at QB. From the limited looks he looks to be the real deal as both a runner and passer.

Not sorry to see him go. How about Gino Guidulli?
-
Deion is a lot more than flash! He is the real deal and definitely walks his talk. I wish him well.

Florida State wins this one to make a statement to the folks that left them out!

I think Kentucky wins this one with Ray Davis and Ramon Jefferson providing running strength and Devin Leary making a final push for draft day consideration. Kentucky 31-21.

Already looking forward to 2024! Highlands certainly graduates a huge number of outstanding players but I for one am looking forward to next year when all of those outstanding freshmen from this year's Championship team will be sophomores! The future is bright!

Great season Bird's. Great job by Cooper!

let's take care of business Bluebirds!

Burrow is a player and anyone tagging him as injury prone is barking up the wrong tree. The Bengals do have some serious work to do on continuing to shore up their offensive line. They have made significant improvements however Volson continues to underperform.
-
Because it makes the regular season and scheduling important. Congratulations to Cooper! Should be a great game in Fort Thomas on Friday!

Great first half of football from the Bird's! The drive just before half was an absolute work of art! Was a bit disappointed in the second half as the offense appeared to be resting on it's Laurels. (Pun intended!) NOW on to playing Cooper!

Bird’s just need to go play their game on the field and filter out the hype. They have given themselves a chance to win all the marbles.
-
The Ashland game was good for the Colonels. Cov Cath wins by a bunch.

Stay focused Bird's! Avoid the hype and go play your game!

Not sure about now but playing at home in the sixties was a huge advantage just because of attitude.

Ratings are just that and it all plays out on the field. As long as Highlands continues to play good defense they have a real shot at bringing home #24!!

Former Highlands coach Homer Rice has passed away
in KY Football (High School)
Posted
Coach Rice was one of the finest men I have ever known. Everything about him was a class above. I remember walking into a PE class as a freshman and as would be the gym was chaos with everyone running around and goofing off; when Coach Rice walked through the door all conversation stopped and we all lined up on the end line of the basketball court and listened. I was not an athlete by any means; just a normal student trying to get through classes. Years later when Coach Rice had just started with the Bengals he was in my row at a Highlands football game; as I started to shuffle past him he stood up and addressed me by name asking how I was and how my family was doing. He was phenomenal in caring for his students and not just the athletes. He helped in my learning how to take responsibility for my actions and to seek to take the higher road. RIP Coach.
