  1. That's really good pitching that deep in a game. Love Blaine Walters. Fun kid to watch pitch. Conner has to be kicking themselves for pitching Nick against Boone and not tonight. Wouldn't you say?

Conner gave up two runs in 13 innings, I'd say pitching wasn't the issue. Not sure where he would have made huge difference if he was on mound.

  2. You just defined a leader, not a hitter. I'll grant you Tony was the better leader for sure. But hitting has nothing to do with reigning in egos, having fans love them, etc...

How do you know Votto doesn't love baseball? He obviously works at this craft. And he can't be in HOF cause he's still playing. 3 or 4 more years at present rate and he has a chance.

One last thing. Tony played with reds mostly pre FA. He had same teammates for years. If he had played in this era no way Cincy keeps those guys together. Votto had small window to win and they came close. Hopefully he has one more shot in next few years

  3. Let's just wait and see Joey numbers when he plays as many years as Tony did. O, and since baseball is more of a team game, just how many rings does Joey have and in this area who do you think is much more respected by the fans, as a leader and team player! Joey or Tony?

Question wasn't who was a better leader or had more rings. It is who is the better hitter. It isn't close.

  4. Had a 1500 and 2500 as my former trucks. Liked both. My current is a Tundra and I love it. Just over two and half years old at 103,000 and have changed oil and brake pads. Obviously I drive a lot for work. At 80,000 my 2500 was on third fuel pump. When those go out on interstate it's a little scary. No warning.

  5. OK let's here it, since you have been following the Reds, what would be your personal Starting Rotation. Maybe not even the best but the five starters you'd pick that have been Reds since you became a fan...but the ones you loved to watch pitch!

    My 5...

Jose Rijo...Got the Reds a Title and was dominant doing it.

Don Gullett...1st Pitcher that I was really a huge fan of as a kid.

Mario Soto...Maybe my favorite Reds Pitcher of all time.

    Johnny Cueto...I LOVE Johnny Cueto!

Tom Seaver...Past his Prime but had some solid years as a Red.

My top 5 as well which probably means we are of similar age. However, Seaver was still in his prime, albeit the end of it. His numbers are unreal with Reds except last year. He is my favorite pitcher ever with Soto a close 2nd. Johnny Bench said there were great pitchers he caught and then there was Seaver. Considering he played in a bunch of all star games that's a huge compliment.

  6. While I hate the woo, it doesn't bother me nearly as much as having the idiot behind you that thinks they know everything about the game, but after listening to them for about 5 seconds you clearly realize they don't know squat. And they don't shut up the whole game.

So you're bothered by about half of those in attendance, correct?

  7. As a driver he was probably a little above average. At Daytona and Talledega he's one of the best ever, underrated at short tracks but not real good at cookie cutters ( the tracks that caused me to quit watching weekly ).

What he did do, more than anyone probably ever, is put butts in seats. More than Gordo, King and even Pop maybe. With him gone next year, stands may not be shown on broadcasts if possible. When he races few Xfinity races next year, look for bigger than average crowds.

  8. Frosh games were all rained out today at Dixie. Even still, the event raised $25,000 for the Ken Anderson Alliance according to Coach Michels. It has now raised 100k in 5 years. That's incredible at any level but consider it's been jv and it's mind blowing. And that's with the frosh games rained out last two years and almost zero coverage from local media even though they've tried to get them to support it.

Congrats to all. Saw lot of former players up there last weekend.

  9. Took my future wife to WWE on one of our first dates. She must have known I was a romantic devil right then!!

Also was there right after high school for wrestling. Think it was NWA but I was in concourse and heard door slamming from outside. Went and opened and it was Sting, Luther and Steiners. Showed them where locker room was and Scott Steiner was an idiot- Lex actually apologized.

In 2014 we were doing work just outside arena. At lunch I sat down next to building in shade and security guard asked if I wanted to go inside. I gladly accepted and he showed me where Beatles, Big O and others were at one time. Awesome!! Sad also. Shame it's going away.

  10. Did anyone see in the enquirer this week the article written by I believe Dehner where he sees a scenario where Bengals trade AJ to Browns? Zero chance that happens I would believe. On a national scale, I'm suprised at the lack of talk about him being traded. JG from Pats seems to get it all.
