Does anyone know who will be starting for NCC? 2 obvious starters would be Weyer and E Anderson.

If Runion is going to be the starting Qb for Llyod, I personally wouldn't look for to much. Not trying to be smart, but he was brought down last year to play against NCC freshman team, and pretty much was a non factor. It's a whole different ball game when you play against varsity as to freshman. I know the young man is a decent player, so we will see what he brings to varsity as a starting qb.

Why would you wanna prod out the NCC folks, what has anyone got on here and said about Mayfield other than the fact they have no business jumping ahead of DeSales.

Just my opinion but only going 6 guys doesn't help either. If I'm not mistaken the only bench player that got in was Freppon. The starting 5 played the entire second half, well with the exception of Grant who got into foul trouble in the 4th. Why wouldn't you develop your entire team so at any given minute they would be ready to go into the game. Anderson or Ludwig are more than capable of coming into that type of game and giving some valuable minutes. Again, just my opinion.

The straws and without competition thing leave me lost. As for doubting the Cards, of course you don't and no one has insulted my group. As I said, NCC is not as high in my opinion but maybe BAC knows more than I as NCC was on that East side bracket keeping them far away from my western area. I also said I felt Desales should be 1. So there is my straw

Well there is something that NCC fans would agree with on, DeSales should be #1 until someone beats them. Good luck fighting it out with them and make no doubt about it they are one of the top teams in the state not just 2A, which I'm sure you guys are away of.

NCC should be about 7 on this list to start the season.

Just a question but in Eddie's words when he left NCC, he said he found his "dream" job coaching at Georgetown, did that change? Is his dream job now coaching at Cov Cath?

Yes they would have, especially if they played them early in the year. Kentucky school for the Blind could have taken NCC to overtime early in the year.

 

I think Scott beats NCC in 2015, only because the game is early in the year.

Pretty sure you have to actually live in Covington to go to Holmes since they are an independent, much like Beechwood.Holmes doesn't have the same open enrollment policy that Kenton Co schools do

This is a game thread just trying to clear something up. I do know for a fact that Holmes in open enrollment as long as you do not live in Newport or Dayton. I know a kid that went there in the 7th grade although he was in Turkeyfoots Dustrict.

Maybe Wheelhouse can confirm, but I've been told Brolley is no longer with Holmes' basketball team and his last day at the school will be Friday....

He wasn't entertaining, in fact there were a few kids on the bench that should have been playing more and Snapp should have been sitting on the bench. Btw I don't have a dog in this fight, just calling how I seen it!

Say what you want... this game was won at the line of scrimmage. NCC oline dominated from the get go...period. At the beginning of the season there were many posters talking about how Newport's NG would dominate throughout the season. Newcath's center and guards had a great game tonight.............period. They gave their QB more than enough time to throw the ball and the middle was wide open for runs. Great job for a group that was written off mid-season and hats off to coach Faust for getting these guys ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Jacob Smith would have stayed at Newport, NCC is not even in this game.

Smith has not been at Newport since the 7th grade, let it go! It was an ENTIRE team effort tonight to win this game. Good job Breds keep it going!!

I see a lot if advice on here on what NCC has do to stop Newport, but I see nothing on here about what Newport has to do to stop NCC?

NCC is the biggest culprits of these tactics in the region. It was rumored that a player from an oopposing had to come out of the game vs. NCC in the 1st quarter and didn't return because of an injury inflicted to his eye by an NCC eye gouge. It is also well known that an opposing running back yelled on the field during the NCC game for them to quit grabbing his nuts. Newport should wear the armor.

Are you serious right now? Please shed light on the player who had the eye injury because I can assure you there was a player on NCC side who had his eye gauged NOT poked who was unable to come back in the game. Football is football stop playing the victim. If there has been multiple teams whom have said the same exact thing about Newport I can prob assure you all 4 teams are NOT LYING!! there is gonna be personal fouls in all games but some of the "rumored" things that are being said about the Wildcats are not all made up to pick on them!!
