  1. In 6 NDA 17 Cooper 1. Cooper threw 2 different pitchers as did NDA. NDA put up 20 hits. Cooper put up a few good ones including a controversial Home Run that was called foul by the plate umpire. I could not argue either way because I could not see the foul pole but the Copper coach was sure he got it wrong. The Koors girl hit it out and later in the at bat wound up hitting a double.
  2. Here is what I have for scores maybe some others can help fill in the blanks. Friday Night Pool Play. Worst infield I have ever seen a game played on much less a practice. Ground between pitching rubber and plate looked like a feed lot. Other 2 fields were much better. NDA vs Bracken Co. 3-4 Sat Pool Play NDA vs Ludlow 6-2 NDA vs Holy Cross 4-2 Sat. Silver Bracket NDA vs Boone Co. 7-2 NDA vs Highlands 11-1 This was the Silver Bracket Championship Game.
  3. "but the tenth hitting is better" Depends on who is keeping the book???
  4. BGH are you listening??? This would give you a place to warm up teams as well since it will create space in the outfield. You need this desperately. You have more teams now and there is no place to warm up at Softball City. Fences would make a huge difference.
  5. It is my understanding that composite bats are not effected by temperature change but that the balls are harder when it gets cold. This is where the danger of cracking comes from.
  6. Notre Dame's AD was not the football coach. We started with a donation from a parent to put up a home run fence. Before we were done another donation came in to replace more old fence. Next we had a large concrete company donate a rather large amount or concrete and we were building dugouts and bull pens. None of this could have happened without the sweat equity of many parents and players or the support of the administration. Our past president saw a value in the community donating their time and money and was very supportive. Without that support we could not have done anything despite all the donations and free labor. I see a lot of potential for what you all call Death Valley and wish you all the best of luck. You have to start somewhere....come up with a plan and present it to the higher ups. You have to find a way to grow grass in September which is impossible if you are using it for football.
  7. You gotta be kidding...we were able to get one playable last night and unless I missed something it has not rained a drop since. Somebody doesn't want to play. Ryle should have been tarped.
  8. Sorry I always put home team second.
  9. Good Job Pandas on another good win on the road.
  10. They did not finish an inning when we had to cancel due to heavy rain. Were still in the top of first and pitcher was having hard time hanging onto the ball. It was raining before the first pitch was thrown. Was not worth the time driving to SK but everyone tried to get a game in. SK's field is looking good, very well taken care of.
