What about the D line and LBs getting pushed back on every snap?

Roadblock? Stop the run you beat Dixie. Not much of a road block.

Why didnt SK stop the run?

Congratulations to Dixie. They played well on both sides of the ball and dominated SK on both sides. I'm amazed this SK defense didn't show more pride and take the game to Moore, as everyone knew he would run the option all game. Some of it may be on the staff for sitting in the 3/5 instead of moving extra bodies to the line.

 

Dixie was clearly the better team. No doubt about it.

Thats the beauity of this win for Dixie. They lined up and took it to SK. Everyone knew what Dixie was going to do. SK could not take it to Moore, they were all blocked!

Last week it was the weather. Now it's SKs Defensive game plan. Wow this is getting good.

Dixe already beat BW this year.

BW is good. Dayton very bad. I know BW has to play this game but what can they get from this?? Heck BWs JV would beat Dayton.

Look just having fun. SK has great kids parents. I know some of them. Dixie was just better tonight.

Yes. SK must not be very good. Dixie was very tired.

They blitzed him tight right outside of the DE all night, didn't understand that, why not blitz him from the wide and at least he has a shot for one on one contain if Dixie goes outside. Blitzing tight gets you pinched in, didn't make sense.

Again Dixie just has better players. See the block by 82 on 45 on the TD run. Muti pancakes by Dixie O line.

There were 3 different players that came off the field and slammed their helmets on the ground in the bench area. Not one Coach said a word to them. Heck 3 coaches had their back to one of Dixie's drives they scored on (they weren't instructing another player or talking to a group, what they were doing IDK.)

Their are freshman coaches on the side line who are just watching the game.

Not really, you need 3 D linemen that work well with your gap package, they don't have to be animals, but if they hold their own on the line, you can make a 3-5 work. However you can't over blitz it, or it will leave you weak at the second level, tonight showed that.

Not really, this game was all about better game plan. Dixie still has some of the same old Dixie issues. SK has more overall talent.

You are 100% right. In HS I make the offense throw the ball. This isn't D1 football. Load the box take your chances.

For 3 5. You need 3 great D linemen.

This is part of the reason that I don't like the 3-4 in high school. Very few teams have the d linemen to properly play 3 on 5.

SK's D Line did ok, not great, didn't get much pressure in the backfield, but they held their ground, but there is only 3 of them, and when the LB's are blitzing other gaps, it leaves big holes, Dixie found the holes, ran through them, won the game.

Dixe is just a much better team. It's not the defense SK played. Dixie has better players.

Maybe SK should play a few of them big O linemen both ways. Dixie does it worked for them.....

Its easy to push LB on every play when they are not there.

Well if Dixie wants to have a shot against the big boys they have to be able to throw the ball.

I don't think they are as fast as they have been. DH was the epitome of "Strength punishes but Speed kills".

Not necessarily tonight but during the playoffs when they are facing speed.
