Well?
Sorry!!!! I was very wrong!

The Rebels have to get by the Jones crew from Gallatin first.

Prayers from Grant County.

We complain about the hotheaded, immature Cousins and then we whine about Miller being passive and playing soft. Most of the great ones have a mean streak they just learn to control it.

Grant Co played Anderson Co last night. I guess Politician didn't like the performance by Grant team????
one up at the half, got beat 22 Thank You!

No Kanter!!!!! changes everything, Lamb and Knight are both real good but they would be having a field day with Kanter inside.
-
Huh? That appears to be the same response some players have when the coaches try to explain the game to them, it is quite apparent that some have no understanding of the game.
-
Agreed. Grant has played some good teams very tough but they have trouble closing the deal. They have also been drilled by some average teams. Like Walton they have some young players but it is the time of year to grow up.
-
An absolute joke, someone please help me understand because I can not be seeing what I think I am seeing.
-
Seen where the Blackburn kid did not score at all and Kinmon only had 6, from looking at box scores one of these two players has got to get 15 to 20 for Grant to beat a good team.
-
Congrats to Boone, was surprised they won with the score in the 70's. Brown been good all year, but he played real big tonight. These kids just might take the 9th. Congrats to da coach, no ragging on any coaches tonight.

Actually it's none of my business what Grants coaches or any other coaches say or do, they can scream their vocal cords out for all I care but when they wonder why average fans with no ties don't come they might want to consider how they act. hope it's different in the class room.I think you Politician need to express your issues to the coaches, you sound like a disgruntled parent. If your child is not happy then go talk to the coaches and express that, maybe you can come to an understanding, don't get on a public forum behind a screen name and bash the coaches that the administration chose to hire. He is doing what he knows and is pushing the kids to go harder than they have ever gone before. I know no one is perfect and so be it that a coach hollars constantly but if you truly watch there is a lot of coaching that goes on well. Besr of luck to the Braves the rest of the season. -
I am not SK fan but they know how to win the close ones. Really ticks me off when it is against my team.

Atta a boy Scribe, callem all out.

I've got a feeling this game stays in the 50s.
Agreed, if it stays in the 50's it's a nail biter, if it's over 65 bad news for Boone.

Kinght wants to be buried face down and I'm sure he can be accomadated. (Great but no class)I understand your point completely. But as someone who has been around coach Knight and his practices-you have no idea. You simply have bought into the media made Knight. Yes he can be tough on his players, but you don't see how he counsels them as well. He always wanted his players to graduate from college, because he felt that was the best way for the young men to be prepared for life after hoops. Talk to the players that graduated under coach Knight and they will tell you that he was tough on them, but now they understand why, and almost to a player, they revere him.Good luck to the Braves and Panthers the rest of the season.

I'd bet my life the game wasn't at Pendleton, I've played there many times.Pendleton County lost a game to North Laurel in 2 overtimes this year in which North Laurel shot 46 free throws, and Pendleton only shot 6. The worst part is, North Laurel was probably the more physical team. A difference of 10 in the free throws shot category really isn't much. -
The team that makes shots generally will do the other things well. Sure makes a coach look smarter when players shoot good and tends to keep Mom and Dad happy to. Pulling for Boone but I'll take Holmes by 11.

Hummm. Been to several GC games this year, freshman, JV and Varsity. So it's my opinion, just as yours is your opinion. Don't think you can put the GC staff on the same level as Knight and Coach K.
Not trying to compare GC coaches to Knight or Coach K strictly as coaches, only in their handling of kids, the same way these players might have to deal with people latter in life, whether it be in coaching or another line of work, that's not to say they are not going to get ripped every now and then I just don't think the constant, nonstop screaming is necessary. Just an opinion
-
So shallow. Your right, both coaches won titles with great talent. Bird took I State to the final game with no one around him. I'd like to see Knight take that club to the finals. That wasn't my point, i was reffering to treatment of players and positive motivation, something Coach K is great at and he still gets on his players when he feels the need, it is just not non-stop screaming with players looking like yoyos.

Does anyone know what happened to the Hargett kid. He has had some bad luck.

At what point is Geisler a risk to everyone on the floor regarding spreading the flu ?
I'm all about sucking it up and playing injured but man playing with the flu is not only dangerous but putting other players at risk. Those basketballs are worse than toilet seats when it comes to germs. Just saying. But I guess if I'm Jake they would have to tell me I wasn't allowed to play and then drag me off the court.
You have to respect the kid for his heart, wish more kids had it.

I also know the Great Billy Clyde and was one who had no clue how great a person he was untill I got to know him. Lets be positive and not judge a book by its cover.
Coach K came up under Bob Knight but you could not pay that man to treat players the way Knight did. Knight won a couple of titles with great talent, but he also ran off the Bird man.

Just for the record Grant won this game fouls or not, a win is a win
Yes a win is a win, but all teams must make adjustments in order to beat teams they are not favored to beat. Grant was probably much better than Carroll to start with.

Agreed WV made some good adjustments from the last time they met. They realized that guarding the Kinmon kid off the dribble was not the best way to go, their zone was very effective, he had the ball in the middle of the floor very little if at all. Grants youth really showed up last night, but I do think with a few adjustments they could be a real solid team next year. Good luck to WV in the future.
