  1. Why all the fuss? Are these guys even any good? Also, I'd like to see the financial trail and the canceled copy of the check the dad writes for tuition. I question whether the tuition ever gets paid if they transfer.

Trust me, these are good kids but they are not D-1 players, the tuition would get paid but hopefully they will finish at Walton, as I believe they will, and with a lot of success I might add.

  2. Remember, Walton seems to have a history of hiring former Holy Cross coaches. Their experience hasn't been to pleasant at Walton so why would Goetz even entertain the notion of going there?

If they were such great coaches why did they leave Holy Cross and wind up at Walton, which you seem to indicate is a terrible place.

  3. I think you guys are selling Goodwin short, I think it would be a great addition to next years team. He will have another season to develop, grow, mature, learn. He would be a nice skill set to add to next years squad, he will give them another element when hes in the game. With all the talent and versatility Kentucky will have next season, he will not have to be your #1 scoring option, his skill set adds a nice element to go along with what everybody else can do.

    Agree!!!!

  4. Wow, that makes the comment to me yesterday from a Grant Co person that Hicks was going to Walton seem more valid. Interesting.

Amazing, after all of this posting about Hicks and Carr leaving Grant that a few posters from Grant have gotten very silent. (Jaws, Braves1, BGC, almost funny)

  5. Let's say Clinkenbeard becomes the boy's coach, that will make the 5th coach for the girls in the past 7 or 8 years. Short shelf life for bball coaches at WV.

Even with WV short self life, other than one upset they have consistently kicked your butt, even though after your big upset your made a really good showing against Simon and Anderson.

  6. Is it your opinion that the official should have ignored the forearm to the chest that was thrown by Richmond's big?

No, they shouldn't ignore it, but why not go to the monitor as they almost always do and be sure and get the call correct.

  7. We heard rumors of Hicks leaving last year and that didn't happen. I know he hasn't stayed anyway for any length of time but why would he even consider leaving Grant with basically the entire team returning and being possibly the 8th Region favorite? Also, I don't think he would fit in real well with the Walton followers.

If my source is correct him not leaving last year wasn't because he didn't apply elsewhere, it was because where he applied didn't offer him the job.

  8. I haven't missed your point. Having an understanding of who both of you are really gives me great pleasure in knowing that your opinions are foolish and selfish. I think when I start to be called out on here I will change my screen name and make all new post about G.C.

Why don't you change it and bash Walton or the Walton fans, my mistake You folks never bash Walton coaches, players or fans. God Bless

  9. I don't care if you have heard of me or not, but now you know where my comments are coming from. I wont hide behind a screen name. Thanks Coach I have always respected you as well. Everybody loves to see someone fail especially after they start to have some success. This yahoo must feel threatened by something.

I'm threatened they might move Grant into the 9 th region, by the way the 2nd best team in the 8th region got beat 22 tonite at Rupp, but give them credit they beat Collins who would have drilled about 6 of the teams in the 8th region tourney. Just saying

  10. You have to give him credit he came out said who he was and is only asking Lets Roll to do the same, I like it. Know need to hide, especially if you are going to dog coaches and players on a website, be a man and tell it like it is, opinions ate like butt holes, everyone has one, and lately the opinions on this site have gotten personal far too much. This was a thread about Oldham beating Grant and no one is talking about the game, instead bashing and defending the coach and players. I for one dont have a dog in the fight but have to respect Gregg for being straight forward, that is what I like about him. And BTW his son works his tail off to be the best he can be, I assure of that, I have saw it first hand.

And again you miss my point also, who cares who lets roll is, who cares who you are, I mean its not like their having a showdown at the O K Corral. LOL

  11. OK we get it, but you seem to be making more of this than anybody else by going on and on. My kid will never play in the NBA or high major but you know what there are schools calling and the bottom line is that's what it is all about! Yes the recognition is nice but that and a $1.06 may get you a cup of coffee at McDonald's. I have watched all 3 kids (Carr, Moeves and McNeil) and they all deserve a chance. I have also seen a lot of the kids on the list and yes they deserve a chance. Congratulations TO ALL that were selected.

I agree with you on some points and I do think that Carr and McNeil will play at some level in college, they both seem to be very competitive.

  12. So grow a set and say who you are. And why worry about what's going on in Grant Co. I know a lot about the program at Grant Co. I am Greg Carr father of Tyler Carr who plays for Grant Co.

I hate to bust your bubble but I've never even heard of you and who cares who you are anyway, this site is nothing more than people's opinion, and you seem to struggle with anyone who sees things differently than you do. lol

  13. I don't think we would beat Indiana regularly regardless of how we picked. They are normally more talented than even our best possible 12. I do agree that we don't always send our best possible 12 players or even the best possible team.

This year's junior class is our best chance at victory.

I hate to beat a dead horse but I seen tapes of Carr, McNeil, and Moeves in live games and it appears their best attribute is scoring the ball and on this years allstar squad none of the three would be anywhere close to the top 3 options on offense and I really believe all 3 would really struggle on defense, especially Moeves.

  14. Braves1,

Been there done that, I know how he coach's practices thats why I said in a previous post " Coach Hicks is the best PRACTICE coach Grant has ever had"!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard that about his practices, even from previous schools where there was other major issues that they had to deal with. Would venture to say he patterns his practices after uncle Billy at Scott Co.

  15. I have to disagree with you regarding Carr playing out of position. He's exactly where he needs to be. There's no way he is a point guard. He's a scorer not a ball handler and playmaker/floor general.

Agree, much like McNeil at Cooper, his stats were down this year but he scored off movement without the ball in his hands all the time, making other players better around him.he wasn't selfish at WV that's just how they allowed him to play.

  16. Saw on another thread that Mullins name has surfaced for the Walton job. I don't see that happening. I look for some news from Walton about a new coach in the near future.

Watched him coach several times the last 2years, I just don't think he is the type WV will be looking for, but who knows.
