Good win for UC last night. I expected Kansas to be more competitive, even with their players out that didn’t play. If UC beats Baylor, I think their chances of making the tournament substantially increase. Either way, impressive win for the Bearcats last night.

Heird’s hand was forced in hiring KP, he wasn’t really allowed to make a legitimate hire, for a number of reasons.
Having said that, his job 100% relies on the success of this next hire.
I agree. The next coach is clearly going to need to be more proven and experienced.

Kenny Payne basically blaming everyone but himself for the abysmal 2 years was a tough watch.
That’s about all he’s basically done.

His overall lack of accountability has been something I've never experienced. It's been incredible.
I agree, that’s the worst thing about it.

Same.
The last game I watched was against Virginia in January. This is the longest I ever spent not watching Louisville basketball and don’t regret it. I still look forward to watching the rest of the conference tournaments that I do and the NCAA tournament. Still fun to watch them.

I’m glad it’s finally over, not that I’ve watched any time recently.

Or, both.
It could easily be both. I haven’t considered UCLA a very good place for football for quite a while now.

The two differences in this game was Patrick Mahomes and San Francisco not getting any points on their interception and fumble. Missing the extra point didn’t help San Francisco either. Exciting game as it went on though.
-
I did not watch but I’m glad that they at least won consecutive games.

Nice win for UC.

I’m happy that he won it.

If the Niners have a slow start like the last two weeks, they will be in trouble. The Packers had a young and inexperienced team and the Lions had a young and inexperienced coach who couldn’t respond when SF came back. The Chiefs won’t have those same problems if they are in that situation. If the Niners come out hot and dominate early as they did much of the season, I think they will be too much for KC. I think SF’s best is better than KC’s best this year. I think KC has the best player but SF has the better team.
My thoughts on this game are the same with everything you said. And I totally agree about San Francisco having the best overall team and Kansas City having the best player.

As long as you have plenty of total studs.
Which he clearly has. I think a lot of quarterbacks would do well with the rest on that offense.

If not for two really bad fourth down attempts, Detroit very well could have won. The game could have been tied with the second one and Detroit could have been back up three possessions the first one. I do like Dan Campbell, but he clearly cost them tonight’s game.
-
I do like Dan Campbell, but what the hell is he doing??? He went for it and could have kicked a field goal to take the game back to three possessions earlier. Now he does it again and doesn’t at least attempt tying the game. As disastrous as the third quarter was, Detroit can officially blame Campbell if they end up losing.
-
That was as disastrous of a third quarter that Detroit could have.
-
Huge possession coming up for Detroit. Campbell’s decision to not go for the field goal their last offensive drive costed them.

I know Campbell is aggressive but you need to take the points in a game like this. If they went for a field goal and made it, it was back to a three possession game.

Detroit has been unreal on third down so far. San Francisco has to be going crazy with all of the third and long conversions.

I was yelling at Coach Campbell on TV to kick it too, he listened!
24-7 Lions.
I was too, it would have been crazy not to. Who expected Detroit to be up three possessions at the half? I’m glad and hope it stays like this.

Important drive for Detroit here defensively. San Francisco scored with little to no trouble last drive.

If they can go down here and score the Niners are in trouble I think.
I agree and they did. San Francisco struggles playing from behind. Once the Bengals got up on them it was a wrap. And I, along with everyone who’s not a 49ers fan wants to see the Lions in the Super Bowl.

That opening touchdown drive couldn’t have started better for Detroit. I really hope that they win.

Kansas City is the team to beat as they have been. They further solidified that today, like them or not, just as New England was previously. Still doesn’t take away from the season that Baltimore and Lamar Jackson had. Lamar Jackson is still the MVP in my opinion.

Duquesne winning this one didn’t surprise me. It is crazy that the top four seeds of the Atlantic 10 all lost.
