UConn will probably win with little to no trouble.

I hope that NC State wins but I believe Edey will be too much.

Oakland has now gave North Carolina State the best game so far in the NCAA tournament.
Crazy to think isn’t it? Further proof to show how much the game has changed compared to what it once was.

Duke was lucky to get past Houston. I thought NC State would win this. D.J. Burns Jr has played an amazing tournament and been fun to watch. There’s no doubt in my mind that Jimmy V is smiling from heaven now.
-
May end up being the best game of the tournament. I said before if there was a shot against UConn that it was the winner of this game. Edey is an absolute beast, but the rest of Purdue will need to play lights out for a chance to win.

In 25 years UConn is about to win their 6th title. In that same span they have missed the Tournament 8 times. Went out in the first round 3 times and in the second round 4 times. The way most blue bloods would look at it, they've been a failure in 15 of 25 seasons. By the same measure any school would be considered a blue blood if they averaged a championship once every four years as UConn has.
UConn's success has been feast or famine, when it's bad it's really bad but when it's good it's been great.
I totally agree with you on the feast or famine point.

Happy for Alabama, would have been happy for Clemson too. Both have played well in the tournament. Free throws down the stretch crushed Clemson.

The Huskies are a machine, don’t see anyone beating them.

UConn is just that good. I may get rocked for this, but I believe this run and team UConn has may be better than the Florida team that won back to back, and UConn hasn’t done it yet.

Some thought that Illinois could play with UConn. Illinois better ramp up its horsepower now if they will the rest of the way.

The Wolfpack just keeps winning. As Deuce said a little while back, thankfully Louisville didn’t win their first round conference tournament game and go on to win the ACC tournament lol. I’m happy for NC State though.
-
Purdue very well be in the Final Four. Didn’t pick them before it started but they have played a very impressive tournament.

Huge program win for Clemson, was happy to see them advance.

I was happy to see Alabama win this. UNC is the team I preferred seeing advance in the ACC least. I did believe that they were clearly the weakest #1 seed.

I don’t think anyone can defeat the Huskies in this tournament.
They have been my pick to repeat.

I've cooled off.
To be honest, my frustration is much more centered around the chaos of the search, rather than it being Kelsey. That's not his fault.
Initially, I love his personality and the fire it seems he has. Seems like he has a tenacious work ethic, which is required. I do think he could win over the fan base eventually with that.
I agree with you about the chaos, that’s been the most stressful part of it to me too.

I like the hire in ways and others not as sure. I believe that his energy is definitely a strong point and something very needed with how far the program has fallen. He’s definitely got an impressive resume from his time in Charleston, but that’s also the question with the three years there as head coach and other experience. I will say I’m happier about getting Pat Kelsey over Richard Pitino. Only time will tell with what comes.

I really think that St. John's and Seaton Hall both deserved to be in the tourney in place of I thought Virginia and Boise State.
I totally agree, both of them belonged far more.

Below is a breakdown of the 6 conferences that placed 4 or more into the tournament field after the first two rounds:
Big 12- 7-5
SEC- 5-6
Big 10- 6-4
MW- 3-6
ACC- 8-1
Pac 12- 5-3
Also, the Big East and just 3 teams in the field, but they are now 6-0.
The Big East should have brought at least one more team likely. The three teams that it did are good, I expected all of them in the Sweet Sixteen. The ACC is clearly the surprise, they did far more than anyone expected, including plenty ACC fans.

It probably is. Regardless of what happens in the future, and that’s if there is one longer term, college basketball will NEVER be what it was once known as.
-
Big win for Clemson! I didn’t think they would beat Baylor. Either way, the ACC has definitely come to play. I’m happy about how the teams have performed so far.

Dominant as can be today.
Yes, I thought this was going to be closer.

Purdue has been very impressive. Could we be seeing the same result as what happened with Virginia the year after their first round exit? Purdue looks much better to me than last year. I still believe that UConn is the team to beat overall, guess we will see.

Personally, I’m glad he landed in Michigan instead of Louisville.

I could see the Bengals regretting this. Mixon was good in ways that many didn’t think about. I hope he does well.
