Cov Cath is going to have to run the ball and control the TOP.  Rodriguez will be a bigger factor on defense than anything and will be counted on to be special on that side of the ball if they want to win.  Pitzer ran over the best player in the state Friday night for the go ahead touchdown, but he hasn't played a complete team as good as Boyle.  Cov Cath has to play a perfect football game, but I think Boyle wins another one.  Boyle wins a close won or a blow out, but Boyle wins.

Everything you said has been my way of thinking. I definitely agree with your points about Rodriguez defensively and about the Colonels having to play a complete and solidly good game overall as a team. If the Colonels do this then I believe anything is possible. But Boyle County has several good players and they run as a very well oiled machine.

Great crack at this, that’s the way I would have it. I do think it may be an either/or for Raceland and Pikeville. Either way this would be my order now outside of those two which ever way they fall.

  3. I watched most of this, the long field goal at the end of the fourth quarter was crazy. Philadelphia is on a mission, I think they make the Super Bowl and win it this time. On the other hand, I think Buffalo probably did themselves in for the season with tonight’s loss.

During the game it was said that Philadelphia was the first team to be 9-1, now 10-1 after losing a Super Bowl during the prior season since Buffalo did it longer ago under Jim Kelly and everyone else from then, which is more reason I believe that the Eagles make it back, I do believe that they win this time if they do.

But they gave up 38:to a pretty weak offensive team too.

There’s no denying that Louisville didn’t come to play for the most part defensively. As the season went on, my thoughts were if the defense plays badly and running game struggles to get going that any opponent would have a strong advantage.

Florida State played almost as bad as you can play for the first quarter and a half, at least on offense.  They faced a ton of adversity - backup QB getting his first start in an incredibly hostile environment, only had three offensive plays in the entire first quarter, one first down in the first quarter and a half, gave up a safety, one of the worst roughing calls you'll ever see handing a TD opportunity to Florida (which they cashed in) - the list was extensive.  And yet, they trailed only 12-0 (and it SHOULD have been no worse than 8-0).  Their offense figured some things out, and they did enough.  Meanwhile, the defense absolutely hammered down on Florida, who were facing trouble with a backup QB of their own.  Six of the final eight drives for Florida yielded zero first downs.  After they went back in front with a field goal, their final four drives ended 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out, 4 and out (with an INT).  They had negative yardage in the fourth quarter.  I think FSU has a championship-caliber defense.  They've given up only 58 points in the second half of 12 games.  They're the only team to basically shut down Jayden Daniels.  They may no longer have a championship offense, unfortunately, but they have proven themselves to be a very good team, and I believe, worthy of CFP inclusion should they beat Louisville.

If they win next weekend I think they are in, don’t see how they can’t be.

  6. That ending is what separates the good/mediocre teams from the great teams. I know Alabama and Auburn has been known for some finishes but how was that receiver left that open for the last touchdown? Credit Alabama for getting it done.

  7. Kentucky simply deserved to win and Louisville simply deserved to lose. Louisville is definitely better and more capable of what they showed today, but you can’t do what was done today and expect to beat anyone. And that last drive, what in hell were they doing? Play calling and time management to finish the game was horrendous by the Cards. Congratulations to Kentucky and fans.
