  1. Lickert has never coached at Harrison.

As far as HHS calling off the dogs, CCHS simply outplayed HHS for three quaters.

You mean HHS shot themselves in the foot for 3 quarters with more false start penalties than I have seen in the past 3 years combined. Clean it up Birds!!!! I did like the way CCHS came out with some fire in the second half, good luck to Coach Lickert and the boys the rest of the way.

  2. I think it changes the scheme from 3 WR/1 TE back to a 4 WR set. Hergott is the JV and back-up varsity QB. That is where he needs to continue to get reps.

Not sure I agree with that IF he is able to play TE. Hoge was the backup QB last year and started @ WR. Once again @ Highlands players that could help out are standing on the sideline "waiting their turn"

  3. I am going to guess that Hergott is going to have to do what McCoy' date=' Houliston and Hoge have done and that is to wait his turn and when the opportunity presents itself, he needs to take the bull by the horns.[/quote']

Does a possible injury to the TE tonight change things for the 6 foot 4 or 5 Hergott?

  4. Just curious why you would ask the question as to whether or not anyone will play both ways? Is there something that you are seeing or not seeing?

On second thought I would like to table this specific question until after the first scrimmage, its tough to make a determination based solely on team practice.

  5. I wonder if they will do background checks for community and non-community members of this swangy facility on school property...:thumb: Heck for $50 bucks a yr who knows who might come to workout around a bunch of kids. I am sure the School District's Attorney's have done their research on this though...just seems odd to me' date=' sorry[/quote']

I heard last night they were rethinking the whole idea of opening it up to the community to use as their fitness center because of the logistics of trying to coordinate times when students would not be utilizing the facilities to allow the community to workout.

Back to the 2014 Highlands team, after watching practice with pads on does anyone anticipate any player going both ways this year?

  7. So is this the reason given to the KHSAA for the transfer? I have no idea actually. I know his brother is a coach there, only from reading this thread do I know that, but I can understand why his transfer was denied. Definitely doesn't meet the criteria to transfer.

    Again, what a mess!

I have no idea what their reasoning was for the transfer. Just speculating that may have been one of the many reasons.

  8. I know that part, I meant with playing again at Boone.

As to FTTS above, when you leave somewhere without letting the coach know and you don't show up for any workouts for months I can understand why there would be some debate allowing someone to go with "Plan B" without any issues. I am not saying that is the Coach's point of view, but I understand that thinking.

I wasn't aware of that, I just assumed he was in on the decision given Aaron's parent involvement @ Boone. Yes that in itself does change things.

  9. I heard JJ was spotted holding a clipboard and watching from the sideline. Apparently he is trying to transfer over from Simon Kenton because he wants to play DB and get a D1 scholarship and knew that would never happen at SK. KHSAA is holding things up. Oops' date=' sorry ... JJ actually wants to improve his ACT score at Highlands. Yeah, that's the ticket. That's why he is trying to transfer.[/quote']

I'm totally confused now. Excuse my ignorance, does he even play for Highlands or not?

  10. Not sure what you mean' date=' care to elaborate?[/quote']

Just responding to 50YL's question about JJ obtaining a starting role in the defensive backfield. Was trying to be nice since I don't personally know the kid or have seen him at any 7 on 7's this summer. Figured if he could cover and tackle he could get some snaps back there on the Varsity level since he must be decent enough that 50 is questioning if he should be starting @ Highlands.
