  1. On Good Morning America today, the reporter announced that her vocal disruptions were caused by a migraine which was diagnosed by doctors. They called it a "migrain aura". Usually it creates vision problems like blurriness or flashing lights, but can impact speech if it is located in the speech part of your brain.

    Mystery solved.

T- Time - Time is of the essence. Call 911 If any of the above symptoms exist, Do Not take aspirin and Do not call us!

  3. How about Matt Reinhart, Head Coach at Brossart. He has the head coaching experience. Built a program basically from the ground up. Been to the playoffs. Is a Holmes graduate. And as some people pointed out in Brossart threads, is a little rough around the edges. He would fit in nicely down in Covington. I'm sure Holmes is one job that he would consider leaving Brossart for.

  4. I only wish my parents would have started me later. I have a November birthday. They started me in school at 4 years old. I was 16 when I started my senior year and then turned 17, three months in. Not to mention, I was a bit of a late bloomer. Athletically, I was always a little behind all my peers.

  5. I still really like him (though I wouldn't want to have him call EVERY game I watch.) I still remember many years ago when there was a student at Duke (I think) preparing to shoot a mid-court shot at halftime to win a scholarship for the next semester and DickyV told him that if he made it he (Vitale) would throw in books for the semester. The kids made it! and I have no doubt that Vitale wrote the kid a check for his semester book bill.

This was actually at UC during a midnight madness.

  6. One fact we need to also keep in mind. In the past four years, I believe only Trinity, Highlands, Ft. Campbell and BEECHWOOD under COACH RASH have won 2 state championships. If anyone questions his coaching ability, I am embarrassed for you. I will try not to comment on this anymore in this game thread. I don't want to detract further here from a nice win by a very good, very talented Mayfield team.

Not sure that the coaching aspect is a big as you think. They do have a terrific group of coaches and have maintained that continuity for a long time. But as Noel himself has said on many occassions, "its not the X's and O's, its the Jimmy's and Joe's". His Jimmy's and Joe's are better than a lot of NKY schools. They roll in games they are supposed to roll in. Now, throw in some upsets here and there and you will can argue about the coaching ability.

  7. There are an awful lot of talented Freshman throughout area. One's not mentioned that are worthy of mentioning:

Schulte - NC / Rieger - Brossart / Buten - HHS / Burns - Brossart / Shannon - Brossart / Franzen - NC / Trentman - Brossart / Jennings - Brossart. All very nice nice players. Will be a lot of fun to watch how all of these kids grow and develop over next few years. Franzen and Shannon played football - so they'll have some catching up to do - especially Franzen. And that Conner group did have a nice 8th grade team last year. I seem to recall a big kid at Ryle that could handle the ball and nice jump shot that should be a frosh as well.

Sounds like the Mustangs will have a pretty good squad.:thumb:
