Mind sharing your reasoning??
He just means too much to the city of Cleveland and he knows it. I might be a little apocalyptic in my thinking, but if he were to leave the franchise would be, at best, never relevant again. At worst, they will be on the move in the next 5-10 years. The franchise would be losing so much money that it just wouldn't make sense to remain in Cleveland.
It won't be about money as Cleveland can pay him more than anyone else and there are no built-in incentives for being in a larger market.
LeBron understands what's at stake here, and it's more than just basketball. He wants to be a global phenom and he knows he won't get there by turning his back on a city that's given him everything. And it's not just any city, it's his home. LeBron gets it. He ain't going anywhere.

Someone had to be the sacrificial lamb. I'd look for Byron Scott to be the next guy. Or maybe JVG.
-
Not going to go back and read through this entire thread, but LBJ will be back in Cleveland. I just don't see any scenario where he isn't.

Woops. Just looked when this thread was orginally from. I've been brewing for a few months now and really love it. It's a really cool hobby and helps you appreciate the brew much, much more.

Have any of you tried any Home Beer Brewing?
I know Titletownclown has and his brew tasted good!
I recently picked up a Best Brew equipment kit,and made my first batch yesterday.
I am brewing a Muntons Connoisseurs Range Export pilsner. It's a beer kit that is pre-hopped so all I had to add was corn sugar and yeast.
It has been Fermenting a little over 24 hrs.The air lock is getting a bubble about every 3 seconds.I should be ready to bottle by Monday, and trying it out in a few weeks.I can't wait.
I agree with Gunner11, definitely think about a secondary fermentation. It takes a while longer, but the beer comes out better in the end.

Because the player UK brings in this year, Moultrie or whoever won't be as good as the player they could use the scholarship on next year. I'm not counting on alot of players leaving after next year. There is a good chance 2-3 leave early, but why automatically assume they will and get another big when one isn't needed? Miller was supposedly going to get minutes at the 4, so UK has 5 guys they are willing to play at the 4-5 spots. That's enough, Cal doesn't play alot of people off his bench big minutes.
That's fair, but by my count, there are still two scholarships available. Say Moultrie takes one. Still one free, and I'm sure Cal sits on it. After next season, we will presumably lose Harrelson, Knight and Kanter, making 4 scholarships available for 2011-2012. Two are spoken for with Gilchrist and Teague, meaning Cal can still pick two more guys. And let's be honest- Cal picks guys.
Plus Moultrie would be an experienced big man in '11-'12. That could be pretty valuable if we're looking to make a championship run.

Once again I will hope that it's no one.
Why?
-
Depends on longevity. You give me Cal for 25 years with no NBA rumors and I take him. Otherwise I think Izzo is your guy.
-
Has to be Moultrie. I think at this point playing time is mostly spoken for, so he's probably just looking for bodies for the future.
-
Once Calipari gets the right mix of experienced good players with the John Walls, and Gilchrists, then UK can be scary. People have to give Calipari 3 or 4 years to get the program to where he wants it.
That's really the key. People quickly forget just how awful UK would have been this past season had Calipari not brought in an amazing recruiting class. Once he puts his pieces together, UK will be a contender. Right now, I see this team as Sweet 16. Still not there, but by no fault of Cal.
-
So just to be sure I'm clear...
Am I missing anyone?
Unless you count Polson.
-
What about Moultrie? Does this knock him out of the equation or are they still trying to land him?
Still scholarships available. Have to imagine Kanter will be a one and done, so I wouldn't be surprised if UK landed Moultrie as well.

2009 Cal took Memphis' recruiting class. 2010 he took Washington's. 2011 he's taking U of L's. It's not even fair anymore.
That's my feeling. It's really not even fair anymore.
-
And it's Washington, not sure if that's really news though at this point.
If Evan Daniel isn't ready to call it for Washington yet, neither am I.

Any word yet?
Looks like it will be 10:30EST. Just a little while longer.

Need to get some younger bigs. Z and Shaq aren't going to cut it. I think Jamison will be fine.
