I think Sexton is the better hitter after watching both in a showcase at Midland.

Highschools stats are a joke, I've talked to many College coaches and only one out ten have asked for stats.

Ben Nevels should be the Coach I think he could beat CovCath and Highlands if they made him the Coach!

 

If that the case, maybe he should coach at SK.

Holy Cross deserve to be number one, then I would think that Beechwood would be a very close second with all they have returning.

I will go with Sexton as POY, But watch out for Larimore the kid is a stud.

From what I have been told over the last 2 days, Sexton got the highest athletic offer. I dont know if this is true or not but it was said that he only has to pay $200 per year to play ball there.

Yes it is very true, that just Athletic money no academic money. It will be hard past up, that go for all of them.

Mid Continent is in the transouth Conference along with Cumberland of Tennessee and Lee University two of the top NAIA Schools in Baseball.

So the players just went on their own? No coach went?

Cottingham was invited to Lambuth and Columbia State, so Coach Mullins made some phone calls and set it up for all the players could workout for the Schools. Coach Mullins has done alot for all of his players. Great job Coach.

I wonder why people get on here and post negative things about a Coach who they Don't know. Coach Brossart has had success as a HC before, but you would know I will tell you that he worked is butt off at CovCath and is a great person and a good Coach. I don't think somebody who has never Coached or played the game at that level should be putting him down.

There is a ton of talent still walking the halls of Beechwood, like Taylor Smith and another is Mitch Kresser who quit after his freshmen year. I think he could help out at the guard spot with Vocke quitting.

Max Nussbaum...but not sure if he is playing this year.

Plain and simple...Newcath is on a whole nother level when it comes to 2A football and I think this group could compete in 3A and 4A as well.

Your right they are on a nother level in 2A but Boyle and Bell would be way to much for them, it was not long ago that Beechwood beat them and I can not see Boyle or Bell losing to Beechwood. Way to go BREDS.

I totally agree, Popham has outplayed everybody. Ive heard Popham is playing OF at Transylvania so whats that say with Cottingham.

Both are good players but.....IMO.....

 

Pop hits better, has a better head for baseball and has played in the big HS games.

Cottingham I believe has never played in anything but one District HS game and that was in a loss to HC last year!

 

Cottingham does have a better arm but I would take Pop over Cottingham, as I just like the fire and leadership Popham has shown in his years of playing Varsity at Dixie.

Your right Cottingham is over rated,that why no body is after him.

Cody Gohs must have been playing in that game with them because he had his arm in a sling. I talked to Cottingham he threw 4 touchdown passes in that game that must mean his pop times are getting better.
