Why is everyone so inclined to throw shots at Ferg? To date, he hasn't gotten the offer he wanted at NKU. Now, he is going to take his time and weigh his options (and I promise you he has options). He misses the game and wants to make sure he finds the right fit where he can enjoy playing again. I can promise you there isn't going to be a desicion made for a AT LEAST a week.

You obviously have no idea what happened at Elliott County this year and the reasons behind him quitting. And to say things "got tough" and that's why he quit is a slap to Coach Cantrall's face. He took over a program that had NEVER been to the regional tournament and made them a threat to win the thing. He done a heck of a job the time he was at EC. Besides that, he had multiple offers to go elsewhere throughout his time at Elliott and decided to stay. He knew there would be some rough years but wanted to bulid a program instead of just leaving when "things got tough".

What about Mark Cantrall? Former girls coach at Elliott County. Led them to thier first two Class "A" tournament championships, their first ever district championship, their first ever appearance in the 16th region tournament, and were runner-ups to Rowan County. If I remember correctly, his named was tossed around as a possible hire before Wooten was given the job. He could be a darkhorse candidate.
