Big time game, I don't know if McCracken can hang.

Looking at Bracken County's schedule and knowing what they had coming back, had them having trouble with Ludlow and Nicholas County. The loss to Gallatin was a surprise, but think they can run the table until their last 2 games which suprisingly are with Nicholas and Ludlow(makeup). Coach Sizemore has done a great job there, as has the volunteers in the feeder system over the years. Hope they can get their first playoff win this year.
I think they can run the table except probably Bath and Nicholas. Bath is a better team than Ludlow right now.

I doubt SC is in the gathering Moral Victories stage in a program. Way to represent the Bluegrass!
-
I've got to go with Hazard in this one, I think they are just a little stronger than P-burg at this point.
-
I think they will be able to keep it successful, it would be hard for anybody to duplicate the success they have had.
-
I would imagine it's still an uneducated fan base when it comes to football in Bracken.

Stats have it as BC 2/3 and Harlan 1/8.
-
I know HHS is down but would love to see CCH get over that hump.

Good win for the Polar Bears! They were 2/3 through the air, sounds like they threw it pretty well.

Was Larry Welch a Rockcastle or London guy?

Going with Bishop Brossart by 21+.

I'm talking about officials giving Bath and undefended play that was either a touchdown pass or led to a touchdown in short yardage.

^^Very true. But Bath County beat Rowan County last year as well.
If you remember the events that happened late in that game last year it should have been a Rowan win.

Is Walton falling a little? I know they dropped off some last year but thought they returned a good amount of kids.

I'll take the Cards in this one.

I think Paris will be fine in 1A, too much speed but nothing like they have been. Congrats Holmes!!
-
Congrats Devils!!!

Probably the most accurate assessment of that district I have seen. Brossart will have their hands full with Paris and Nicholas is probably hands down favorite in that district at this point, they are as big and as physical of a team that Brossart will see all season.

You mean the Trinity teams that put together a 50 game win streak running the veer? I believe the rise of Trinity over time has been about a lot of things. Let's face it Trinity takes great pride in their program so they are going to adapt to improve and get where they want to be. Back in the beer days the weight room was subpar compared to many places if I was told correctly. It wasn't just the offense that changed. It was how things were done. I believe Trinity has a strength and conditioning coach. When was this position first created and filled? If they ran the wing-t with the same attention to detail and level of coaching then I think they win just about if not all of those titles. A huge amount of their offense can be run in the wing-t. The only thing off the top of my head is outside zone that they would of lost. All of their passing game, motions, shifts, pap and a majority of their run game would still be intact.
I've only watched Belfry a few times and I've never seen them line up in the full flexbone (double slot). What I've seen them do is nasty split the TE with the slot/wing inside of the TE. That is a real pain to line up to.
You can still run that in the Red/Blue sets in the Wing T, and with the Jet/Rocket you have now you are still getting that same type of play. Delaware to the best of my knowledge was running a lot of zone back in the late 90's.

Going with the Rockets in this one, I used to love watching that team play back in the day, hard nosed kids in Mt. Vernon.

The one comment on this is that "champions" don't tend to do the "it" things. Some of the worst teams in this state are going 4 wide and running around like kindergarten kids chasing butterflies, so I know it seems paradoxical but champions spreading it out tend to be fundamental and detail oriented.
That they are, there will always be bad teams and championship teams running whatever scheme/system, the success however will always lie in the talent and the details.

"Football is neat."
That pretty much sums it up for me! it's an awesome game.
-
Is Waggener that good this year or is there just a poor representation of KC fans on here? Hoping to make it out and see this one this week.

There is really nothing being done in the spread offense, that hasn't or can't be done in a Wing T. Against a good Wing T coach any defensive adjustment has an answer within the system. To me, the spread is just a philosophy, not necessarily an offense. I can be spread out and still run any Wing T, Triple Option, etc. from that spread structure. That's the awesome thing about football, all the ways to skin the cat.

It usually numerous things when a high school isn't having success. Here's to hoping they get it turned around, I remember those French teams that were tough.
