I'm really shocked this is a conversation, one game with a new coaching staff and a new offensive cordinator. I say give the team a chance, 2 or 3 games into it, see where they are and still at that point closing the book is not an option. If im correct, Campbell Co has always been playing catch up in football, I could be wrong but dont they lose alot of kids to NCC and Highlands? I just think its too early to write them off, give him time.

Im taking Cooper in this one, Dayton and a scrimmage against Scott does not give me any indication HC can play with Cooper. Cooper gave up 3 or 4 big plays to Ryle, I just think Cooper needs to win. Cooper by 10

Amen, I believe it was a very close game with Belfry, correct????????
Game winning TD dropped in the endzone late in the game if I remeber correctly!! That was a very good team but the problem was the winning happened early in his tenure and after the Yeagle debacle it went down hill fast! I hope he gets re-energized at Campbell County!

Bit my tongue until now, how about the Rebels having apart on those 9 turn overs? They were not free give awAys! Give some credit
I beg to differ, Lloyd had 7 fumbles that were in the backfield on handoffs or pitches! Owen had the ball inside the 20 three times in first half and scored 0 points. Owen gets the win no doubt and they were the best team Friday night but turnovers were the story of that game, unforced turnovers!
-
Please clarify???? What is the difference? Sounds like some double standards. If Coach Lucas was still coaching this team and they have double digit turnovers and lose to Owen County, they would call for his head. However, new coaches, same results, and yet its ok? Just confused.
Im glad you called me out on that line, I regret putting it in my post. I should have left Roy's name out of this years team disscussion. I should have simply just stated that I am very happy with the direction that Coach Stratton and his staff are going with the program and the kids! I should have clarified my statement much better, and mentioned that the defense played extremely good, Owen was inside the 20 three times in first half and came away with 0 points. That kind of defense is a change from the past. So please don't be confused, this program is headed in the right direction end of story. Sorry for the confusion!

All you can say about last Friday's game is that any team that has double digit turnovers is going to lose! If you were at the game you can see the difference in this Lloyd team and the Lloyd teams that have been wheeled out there by Roy Lucas! Coach Stratton and his staff are doing a fantastic job, Friday's score doesn't at all indicate the game, this Lloyd team is going to be very good. The defense played fantastic Friday, I think 14 points were interceptions returned for TDs! Dayton is down and had some key injuries but expect them to play hard Friday night. The juggs are having their home opener and trying to wash away the Owen County game. Lloyd by 3 TDs. Go Juggs!!

We should do real good in the 6' and under league! We will be outsized every single game. Bray needs to stay healthy and out of foul trouble. Asher, Carter and Hall are going to have to pick up the scoring load this year. Its going to be tough on the defensive end but we should see some favorable match ups on the offensive end, we just need to take advantage of them. I see a long winter ahead in Erlanger!
-
I hope #6 plays the way he has been in the scrimmages, he has alot of speed and quickness and you can never have too much of that!
-
#6 will not be a difference maker for the Juggs, he has played good in the scrimmages but lets not get carried away. Asher, Kidd, the Smith boys, Brooks and Nunn will get it done on offense this year. Lloyd will be able to put up points with this schedule, the difference will be on defense. The days of putting 50 and 60 points on us are over! This Lloyd team is going to make noise in 2A this year, and I think it starts Friday night. I have to say I don't know very much about Owen, played baseball there last year, but don't know much about the football team. I expect a Lloyd win, they might still be trying to figure out the new coach and system but I think this team is hungry to start winning again! Go Juggss!

I really like the addition of Brady Hightchew to Beechwood's roster.
Not only that, he keeps growing each week! He cant be taller than 5'10" or did he grow over the summer?
-
DRKARK, Im ready to head to Simon right now! Juggs win this one tonite!
-
I heard that we looked very good yesterday against Scott. I was told it seemed like Scott was expecting last years Juggernauts and got this years Juggernauts! Was anyone there to see it?
-
Hey DRKARK, just fly under the radar and not let everyone know about your secret weapons returning. Go Jugg's. JD
We have secret weapons?
-
Hey neverwrong and dkark are they practicing in the a.m. or p.m. I went by Tuesday around 4:15 p.m. and they were justing starting warmups on the baseball field JD
4:30 this week and next, then they go to mornings, 9 and 10 am til dead period.
-
They will have a balance like they haven't had in several years Neverwrong! Practice today was high intensity and alot of bodies out there..The kids are very pumped as well as the coaches..
I agree, I think this will be alot more than a running team this year! Im very happy with the coach and his staff, this is a completely different look then in the past. I can't wait to see them on the feild! He has done a great job so far of creating some excitement, alot of new faces out there this year!

^ If Dillon Smith can stay healthy, look for a big year out of him. He is getting huge.
Injuries have always been his problem, don't think he has played a full season yet. We are all hoping he is healthy this year, he could play tight end or full back! He also gives us a ton of help on defense too.
-
Brady Asher lead the team in rushing and touchdowns as tailback/fullback and Dexter Smith was right behind him at QB. With a new staff and a fullback in front of Asher this year he will do a ton of damage, I think him and Smith will be a real good combination. Dillon Smith was hurt last year, he will be a very welcome back addition, hopefully at the fullback. Dakota Kidd should also get more touches and yards this year, one of the areas most improved players. These players didn't get the recognition last year because of their record but I think this year will better.
-
What did each team do?
-
I don't even think their best player is even getting D1 looks.
I have to agree, I think Vocke is getting some interest from UC but a back up getting D1 offers sounds like a stretch.
-
Is the mound still turf? We played a game there last year and even in a light rain it was hard for the pitchers to keep their footing. It is a great place to watch a game when its dry!
-
Can I talk to someone about Cov. Cath. scheduling a game with Lloyd? It might be our only chance to play another game this year!
-
What about Cody Elliot at Ball State?
-
does anyone close to this know when he plans on meeting the boys and introducing himself. I guess he's busy getting his staff together, any word on the staff yet?
-
Finally! I think this is great news for Lloyd, now the kids can move on and get to work. Is he a teacher at Holmes now?
