  1. Lloyd's AD is also the basketball head coach, I think he has done a great job so far but I think eventually there is going to be a conflict of interest. I believe the AD's job is to make sure the best interests of all sports and the kids are being looked after, at some point those assesments are going to have to be made about the Lloyd basketball team, my concern is who is going to make them? Not alot of guys out there firing themselves!

  2. This will be close, Lloyd needs to take away Newports speed and then try to pound the ball on offense. This will come down to big plays, I think Newport has big play capabilities and Lloyd doesn't. If Lloyd makes Newport work on offense then it will be a good night, I will take Lloyd by 1 or 2!

  3. It seems like fractures usually take about 4 weeks. This week would be right at 4 weeks. So I guess there is a chance he could play this week depending on the healing process. Has he practiced any this week? That would tell the possibility. If he is practicing, then he will probably play.

Good luck to him and I hope gets back soon, when he is healthy he is as dangerous as any running back in NKY!

  4. Interesting matchup this one. Two teams that look similar from a record/competition view. Lloyd's win over Gallatin County and the common opponent Dayton scores make me think Lloyd will win this one.

On the injury dscussion, at this point in the year most teams are probably missing at least one, maybe two starters so that is to be expected. However, when you have short rosters, those missing starters can make a big difference.

    Very well said!

  5. Lloyd still has alot of injury problems, they played Friday without 3 defensive starters and 2 offensive starters. They will need to play the same type of game this week, control the clock on offense and dont give up the big play on defense, the only problem is I think Holy Cross has much more "big play" possibilities than Gallatin Co. Its unfortunate that Lloyd will not have everyone available for this game but I still expect everyone to pick it up and the Juggs to play like they did this last Friday, Im looking forward to a good football game!

  6. The Lloyd ship is going in the wrong direction, even if there were no injuries this coaching staff is struggling! There is alot going on behind the curtains folks, I hope we can get everyone healthy by the end of the year and make a push, salvage some sort of season! This team needs to rally together quick! This is a big game for the Juggs and I think determine the tone for the rest of the year. A loss this week and things could could get real ugly in Erlanger! I'll be pulling for you guys Friday night, GO JUGGS!

  7. Lloyd pounds the ball in this one. Asher and Kidd will do alot of damage. Lloyd's defense is very good, missing 2 starting linebackers last Friday hurt them, we get Dexter Smith back and a week to prepare. As far as offense goes, Asher was called for a questionable fumble after he was down and the coach pulls him for the rest of the game, he will be ready to go Friday with a chip on his shoulder, along with Kidd (#42) and Dexter Smith back Lloyd wins by 2 TDs! Go Juggs!

  8. I love his posts, like someone said earlier I laugh before I even open them. I think there are times when he just tries to aggrivate the people on his threads but if you read closely there are times when he is just making his case. At the end of the day he just loves him some Simon Kenton, I think thats great! Why shouldn't he think his team is going to win every week? When is he back and who does Simon play this week? Whoever it is Im sure they will get a beatdown!! LOL

  9. Never once was a shot at Coach Shear, I know who Coach Shear is and believe he is a good coach. I know it is to hard for any coach to only have one year, especially when everyone knew last year would be more of a rebuiling year for them. However as you said he never seemed to have the full support from the very beginning, which just made it a bad match. No more, no less. You read way to much into that, because it was not a shot at him. All I was saying is it seems like Bellevue got a guy now that is a good match for them. It's hard to be a successful coach if you don't have the full support of people, so it just made it a bad match. It was better for both parties probably for the split, Coach Shear is a good coach and I am sure he will get another chance and deserves too. You just read way to much into that, and it by no means was to be a shot at him. I'm sorry if it came off that way, because it was not suppose to. It was just more giving support to the current coaches for this year.

Not sure what went on at Bellvue last year but I couldn't be happier that he is at Lloyd this year!

  10. I read the Danville/Garrad thread and it sounds like they are an imporved team, not knowing much about them. I think it was hard to tell anything from the Dayton game, not taking away from Dayton but the Juggs started shuffling people in and out. I think this week you get a good look at Asher and Kidd in the backfield together. Tommy Michaloby (thats the best I can do with that name) broke 2 screens for long touchdowns, looked like a real threat! With him and Brooks at wide reciever, Smith has targets but this team is only as good as the line play on both sides, offense has to move bodies and defense has to make plays this week. Its hard to make a prediction when you dont know the opposing team so I'll just say if we do a better job of blocking up front this week, and Dillon Smith makes it back we win a close one. Go Juggs!
