  1. Very ugly game, Lloyd gave up to many second chance points to start the game. I didnt see a machine like Boone offense today. They capitalized on our lack of rebounding in the first quarter. I thought Lloyd passed up alot of shots all day and defended Boone in the half court pretty good. I will say this about boone, they were very good the last 3 minutes of the game holding the ball and hitting free throws . Those two teams were evenly matched and Lloyd had their chances to win that game, Congrats to Boone for holding on. Good luck tomorrow!

  2. McQueary will not be hard to defend, Bray is 100 times more athlethic than him, end of discussion. This will be a close game, Lloyd shoots the ball better as a team than Boone, alot has been said about Boone's offense but they will have to defend Lloyds shooters, Carter, Williams, Asher and Bray. Where is Boone if McQueary gets in foul trouble? Im expecting a close game, could come down to last possesion.

  3. I found it interesting that when Bray was unable to shoot the FTs after the intentional foul, that Lloyd coach puts a kid on the line that I don't think had seen the floor at all. Airballed the 1st, but give the kid credit, he hit the 2nd.

I just want to be sure on the rule, the coach has to bring a kid off the bech to shoot those free throws right? That kid was Addison Brown, very good baseball player and a good shooter, looked like the moment got to him on the first one but he recovered well!

  4. There is alot to comment on so let me get started:

    1. Bray is a drama queen, he is on the floor more than he is standing up almost every game....we got used to that second week of the season

    2. He has D 1 athletic ability but no where near D1 game at any position

    3. In 2 games against Highlands I have not seen him commit one "hard foul" against anyone, but I have seen him take at least 2, now I understand nobody wants to let him get loose, dunk and have the crowd explode so I understand... I will also say that I didnt think that intentional was a dirty play last night at all, just a good hard foul.

    4. I cant wait to see Towles playing QB at UK next year!!!!

  5. That comment always cracks me up. Just because someone doesn't pick a team to win or think a team will win doesn't mean they don't respect the team. I think what Lloyd has put together here at the end of the year is great. And surely you should show up Saturday. No one thought you should up against Dixie in the district title game either, right? Anything can happen. Maybe Saturday is that 1 in who knows how many games that Lloyd beats Boone. It isn't like Boone isn't capable of a dud. Heck, Beechwood almost beat them. I just think Boone is a very well coached, disciplined team that will come out in their machine like precision and get it done. How many layups did they get in their offense against Holmes tonight? They are very good at running their offense and very fundamentally sound.

I have no problem with anyone picking a team to beat us but to not give us a chance I think is crazy, and I am not talking about you VOR, just the feeling I got from reading some of the posts. I dont think it will take a dud from Boone for us to win, we have beaten some good teams and they all didn't have dud games against us. As far as those back door cuts tonight, Holmes stood there looking at each like " thats not my man", that won't be the case Saturday in my opinion. So Im looking forward to us fighting like we have all year, it will be fun!

  6. Lloyd's party ends Saturday vs Boone Co. They made a nice run to end the year but outside of Bray and Carter They don't have the talent to beat the Rebels.

Lloyd shoots the ball better than Boone and we play better defense than Holmes so I hope the rest of Boone thinks Saturday will be a cake walk too, just keep counting the juggs out I guess. This lloyd team has a different kid pick up the slack every night, yes Bray has been playing lights out since districts but they have other kids that can step up any night. I think saturday will be a great game!

  7. I think the first meeting went as well as it could have went for Walton. They run ball very good and played good on defense, now I think Lloyd played very bad that night and made Walton look great. I think the Juggs took that Walton team lightly and didnt expect the running game that they saw that night! I think this will be much closer game this time, I am expecting a slugfest. Lloyd in a close one, I also think the winner of this game, Lloyd or Walton, makes some noise in the next round too!

  8. I agree! It is a much better offense with #42,#7 and #4 when they are running the ball, no doubt! #5 stepped in and has been working very hard but he is a little light to be in the blocking scheme for when they run the ball. #5 has really starting to become a threat in passing situations and punt/kick off returns. 7 & 42 looked like a nice 1, 2 punch the short time they got to be together. It will be interesting to see what happens on senior night. I think all seniors should start this game..But thats just me. It is really nice seeing Asher and Smith back. Those two at linebacker looked like they never misssed a beat for being out as long as they have, not to mention that now the starting qb does not have to play defense..

I agree, this team has weapons they just need to get them all on the field. Its a tough situation when a kid gets hurts and his replacement plays his butt off, what do you do? You have to pick your poison, either a kid loses his spot because he got hurt or a kid that stepped up and proved he could play has to sit. I hope the coaches find a way to work it out, I think we have the potential to make some noise in the playoffs! I think that bye week helped Asher and Smith, they were both ready to play!

  9. I have read alot of these posts about the personal fouls in last Friday's game and I have to say I din't think anything was that bad and I am from Lloyd. There was one PF that was called on #55 for punching our #66 but it has to be put into context. I think #55 from Newport is nice player but the 2 prior plays #66, Dillon Smith from Lloyd, had gotten the best of him, Smith was doing what every kid has been coached to do and that block until you hear a whistle, #55 was being blocked for the 3rd time until the whistle, they both go down, #55 was frustrated and jabbed Smith in the facemask a few times. To me thats football, there was some talking but I didn't think it was that bad. I think the officiating was bad and some of those flags were bad calls. The disrespect that Newport players have for their coaching staff is what the Newport fans should be worried about, Coach Rice needs to get control back! I heard alot of craziness from the players coming off the field Friday night.

  10. I hope we see #7 Asher on offense this week for Lloyd, he worked hard to get back, they need to figure out a way to get him touches or at least on the field for offense. With that said, I think that Bellvue will be outmatched in this one. Just by comparing common opponents Newport and Dayton, Lloyd handled Dayton easily and just beat Newport, Bellvue struggled and lost to Newport then had a not so convincing win against Dayton. The Newport game was early in the year so I should expect improvement but I still think Lloyd is much more talented. I am staying with Lloyd by 20
