I think Scott Co. pays much better when Guyn is out of the game. I think he is a contributor to the problems this team has.
Like what?
-
Rheuben Blueford - Mason Co.
This kid has come out of nowhere and is playing extremely well.
Blueford is a solid role player and has stepped up for Mason County with all their injuries. However, that doesn't make him a top-10 player.
-
Campbell Co. 56 - Conner 53, final
Scoring in the low 50's.. Brady Jolly scoring about half of the Camels' points. Not to brag, but I called this exact in the prediction thread:dancingpa
Congrats to the Camels on a good win :thumb:
-
Ouch. Without Guyn, I expected this game to be closer than this.
-
I'll take Campbell County in a game kept in the low 50's. Jolly will score about half of Campbell County's points.. Just like every other game.
-
That kid can ball.

No one got tossed from this game. Beechwood's AD got tossed at the end of the jv game. I'm not really sure what happened, all that I know is that he got into the face of the Dayton JV coach while the game was going on and he got ejected.
Wow. Of all the ejections that happen in high schools sports, I think I've seen the AD get tossed about as many times as the popcorn vendors and equipment managers.

2 Chances
Slim and None
And Slim just left town.
I was just trying to figure out some scenario that Mason would find themselves watching the Regional Tournament from the stands of their own Fieldhouse. You're probably correct.
-
It would take perfect situations and a perfect game from Bracken County to knock off Mason County.
The Polar Bears can shoot the lights out when they're on. However, Pawsat and Tyler Black would both have to still be injured for Mason County, and Bracken would have to play a virtually flawless game to beat the Royals in the district. This would be the only situation that Mason County wouldn't make it to Region.
-
How about the Cooper kid from PC? He has been lighting it up lately. Also I would move the Rieger kid from Brossart up to top 4 players no qiestion.
Timmy Cooper can shoot the ball with anyone in the Region when he gets hot.
He had 31 points against Nicholas County monday, hitting eight three pointers, one shy of tying the school record. He followed up the next night with a 25-point game against Mason County. He was slow finding his shot early in the year, but he's dangerous when hot.
I want badly to put Rieger in the top 4 in the region. He is an absolute workhorse, and puts up numbers night in and night out. However, I can't put him ahead of Stenzel, Zollo, Setty or Jolly. He is a beast though.
-
I was thinking Mason County's district draws also
-
Also, Neal Pawsat is without a doubt a top-10 player. He'll be one once he recovers from his injury and steps on the court.
-
Cory Rogers and Omar Prewitt has to be in the top 10 in the region IMO. Cory Rogers completely shut down Malcom Thomas last week. Held him to 3 points. Prewitt is very advanced to be just a Freshman. I really like the way he plays. Also don't see Avery Crisp not being in the top 10 either.
Good point on Rogers. Looking back, I'd swap Corey Rogers at the number 9 slot and drop Thomas down to honorable mention. Hard to argue head-to-head numbers like that :thumb:
-
Mason County's district is Bracken County, St. Pat, and Augusta. They're set-up to get to Region has to be one of the best in the state year in and year out.
Mason County could probably lose all five starters to injury, and still make it to Region.

Max Nussbaum is a stud.
How old is he?
-
7 Nicholas County
5 Newport Central Catholic
3 Cooper
2 Lloyd
1 Deming
Tiebreaker- Nicholas Co
-
This one surprises me.
Beechwood is a hard team to figure out.
-
I would put the top 10 players as of their seasons so far as:
1. Robbie Stenzel, Clark County
2. Vinny Zollo, Clark County
3. Treg Setty, Mason County
4. Brady Jolly, Campbell County
5. Jacob Rieger, Brossart
6. Kyle Campbell, Nicholas County
7. Kellen Smith, Scott
8. Kyle King, Deming
9. Malcom Thomas, Harrison County
10.Tim Cooper, Pendleton County
Honorable Mention (In no order)
Jalyn Daniels, Clark County
Corey Rogers, Clark County
Dillon Greene, Pendleton County
Mason Monroe, Pendleton County
Charles Washington, Nicholas County
Jared Martin, Harrison County
Stephen Mason, St. Pat
Luke King, Deming
Omar Prewitt, Montgomery County
Azery Crisp, Montgomery County
Dylan Hamilton, Bracken County
-
Did you watch the game? What do you base this on?
It appeared several times in the Mason-Pendleton game that Treg Setty was allowed three or more steps. At any other place, I believe he would have fouled out early in the fourth quarter and had more than five walks called. JMO
-
Four of Pendleton County's losses have been by less than 6 points as well.
-
The transfer to Newport should push them over the top. Newport by 8.
-
Big district win for Pendleton. Nicholas County was without leading scorer Kyle Campbell, but still a good win for Pendleton. Charles Washington was the lone bright spot for Nicholas. I don't have any stats, but he and Timmy Cooper for Pendleton must have both finished with around 32 points. Maybe HOOPDR can help me out with the stats.
