Henderson County won a very high number in a row out of the Second Region. Not sure what the exact number is, or what district they are, but I know it was a lot, and it ended this year.
-
Best first-round matchup in the state.
Trinity, in what could be their toughest test of the whole state tournament, by 6.
-
Rowan County by double digits.
-
Final from the 10th Region Championship. Certainly anti-climactic in comparison to these two's match ups in the past. Congrats to the Cardinals on returning to Rupp Arena.
-
Keep the updates coming in the second half if you can.
-
Stick a fork in em. Mason County is done. They can't hit anything, and keep turning the ball over. Not sure if Clark County has missed since the First Quarter.

Bopper Stenzel is outscoring Mason County. He has 22.

Clark County pulling away. Bopper Stenzel came out on fire in the second half.

Some fun facts about the 10th Region from the 2001-2002 season to now:
GRC and Mason County have met in 6 out of the 10 Regional Title games, and 4 out of the last 5.
Regional Championships
Mason County-6
GRC-2
Pendleton County-1

No Doubt that Mason County and GRC have been the class of the 10th Region for as long as I've been watching the 10th Region (I'm a young one ). Not as much star-power on either side as years past, but will be a good game nonetheless. GRC by 5.

What about the technical on Josh Harris for throwing up the "3 goggles"? I've seen players at all levels do that this year, and never seen someone get hit with a T. Interesting time for the first one.
-
Augusta and Deming always bring nice crowds as well, especially for the small size of their towns.
-
CovCath has the best student section easily. But as far as raw fan numbers, I'm going with Pendleton County. They had more fans AT Montgomery County Tuesday than Montgomery did, and it's an hour and a half drive from Falmouth to Mt. Sterling.

Called Woodford County my dark horse team all year. They are legit.
My question- if Woodford were to beat Scott County, and win a game or two at Rupp, does Jay Johnson get consideration for Mr. Basketball, despite missing about half the season? He is the best player in the state IMO.
-
Good effort from Augusta. Led for most of the first half. Clark County was just too much.
-
Any chance this was Chad Simms' last game as head coach of the Wildcats? From my understanding, the AD at Pendleton Co. is retiring and many think Chad would be a perfect fit for that job.
It's been thrown around. We'll have to see. I'd say it's a possibility.

Pendleton scores a total of 84 points in two games against the Indians on the year.
-
Prewitt led Montgomery County with 27 points.
Pendleton Scoring
Jared Rering 9 pts
Ethan Moore 7 pts
Gabe Antrobus 7 pts
Garrett Appleman 4 pts
Mason Monroe 9 pts
Bryan Woods 2 pts

Congrats to MC. Certainly not the season I expected out of Falmouth.
Not the season most people expected out of Falmouth, but it is what it is. The kids never stopped working hard, even when times got tough. There were some outside influences (unhappy parents and things of that nature) that great teams simply don't have. I hated to see it. They return 4 of their top 7, including Mason Monroe next year.
-
Congrats to the Indians. They hit free throws down the stretch to extend the lead. It was between 6-10 points most of the game. Prewitt showed tonight why he is the best player in the Region. He finished with around 30. Waiting on stats now.
Pendleton's fan turnout was outstanding. They outnumbered Montgomery County in both the student section and overall fan numbers
Congrats to Pendleton County seniors Jared Rering, Gabe Antrobus, Bryan Woods, and Erik Singleton. They won 3 straight district titles, went to the Regional Semi-finals twice, and Regional finals once. Nothing to hang their heads about. Proud of all of them, and they'll all move on and do well in life. I believe Antrobus has an offer from Thomas More to continue his basketball career at the next level.
-
MoCo up 11. Senior All-Region Honorable Mention Jared Rering fouls out with under 2 minutes to play.
-
Rering commits his 4th foul with 4 minutes left.
-
Prewitt with five straight points to push the Montgomery lead to 10.
Most district titles in a row?

Sorry it wasn't useful enough info for you. I was throwing a team out there that had a lot of District titles in a row. No one else seemed to have a problem with it. I'll credit the fact that you got offended by it to the fact that you've only been on here for 3 months. :ohbrother:
