Who Would Make the Better Coach for Bracken?!

The problem with BCHS football is none of your athletes are playing once they reach high school for whatever the reason. Looking at the players they have now none of them play anything else, now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that but in a small school like Bracken you have to have your 2 or 3 sport athlete playing.

The last time BCHS hired a coach (last year) you was on here saying they needed to quit hiring coaches that only use BCHS as a stepping stone. How would this hire be any different, what makes you all so sure this guy stays longer than 2 years. -

Sorry but I for one am not interested in another outsider coming in and staying for 1 or 2 years. Where was this guy last year, and two years before that? -

Well the boys and girls have the same 8th grade coach, in the girls thread it's not mentioned that they can't play defense, so my question is he teaching one and not the other the art of defense (all in the one year he has them). The reason they lack defensively is from having three different head coaches in four years and not being made to do so. Back in the day you don't play defense you don't play. -

Sounds like those four should have went to Augusta from the start if thats the case. Only complaining I here from parents about Persinger are the ones whos kid didn't get enough playing time or got yelled at by the coach. Some need to cut the cord. -
This could have been called the Dust Bowl, very windy in the afternoon.

If Bracken was so bad, then why did these talented Augusta and Deming players come here to play? -

Wow, BC got stuck in the loaded upper bracket. This won't make it any easier on a new head coach. -
Any changes in 10th Region coaching corners.....

If thats the case they would have swept them before their 8th grade year. Nothing against coach Riggs because it sounds like he has done a great job with this group, but you still have to have a coach to win ballgames regardless of how good your players are. -

So let me get this straight, it's up to the parents to start the feeder programs and over see them, not the head coach or administration. And the AD should not be held accountable for anything that goes wrong. Crazy me. -

Pretty sure the 8th grade swept Mason last year for the first time in school history. -

Alot of posters on here complaining about the middle school program, to me, the head coach needs to be over it all and ran the way he wants so once they reach him at high school level no adjustments need to be made. Out of the last three coaches, none showed any intrest in the lower grades, to me thats the first sign that they don't plan on being here very long. Lastly, lets not forget who hired a coach with zero experiance at any level. He was doomed from the start. -

I really don't understand your statement either. BC just started 6th grade basketball last year or maybe the year before. Most of the teams that Coach P has had just started in 7th grade playing as a team. Now, a few of the more recent teams have played together before 7th grade on their own, but his record has been good since he has started. The 8th grade season last for maybe 3 or 4 months. I think Coach P gets all he can out of his players in the short amount of time.
