  1. I agree that testing isn't very accurate at all.  My brother had traveled to Honduras for a funeral and got Covid upon arrival.  Tested positive and was advised that he more than likely had Delta as his fever was at 104.  Needed a negative test to get on the plane home and not be stranded there and luckily he tested negative so that he could get home.  Now that he is home he is testing positive again.  His wife also has Covid supported by a positive test.  There son is also sick and he is actually having a harder time with it than either of them and yet he has tested negative multiple times.  Luckily their daughter who is the youngest hasn't shown any signs of being sick yet.

I hear more and more about how many times COVID tests are not accurate.

Something is going around that is not the Flu so it is either the "Cron" no matter what the test said or something else.  Several, several people I am close with and know have had something, I assume the Cron.

Despite my negative test, I do wonder if I could have had it.  I've never had a cold that kept me from getting out of bed.  I spent basically all of Christmas day in bed.  Everytime I'd tell my self that I was going to get up for while after about a minute or two I was right back under the covers.  I had as little energy as I can ever remember.

I wonder if you had the flu. Hope you're feeling much better now!

Tested negative for both Flu A and Flu B.   Still haven't got over the cough but my energy came back after about 48  hours once I got a steroid shot.  My youngest daughter had similar symptoms the week before Christmas, but she never got tested.  My oldest daughter has the same symptoms now.  She tested negative for Covid and Flu also.   Her congestion and pressure in her ears got so bad that one of her eardrum ruptured.

  4. Don't forget that Freeman didn't have his best RB today.  Williams had 5x as many rush yards as the next RB and was their 4th leading WR.  Kelly really didn't develop anybody else at that position.  Hopefully next year Freeman will utilize a bit more depth.  I'm not going to judge a new HC at all based upon one game with a team he inherited.  IMO he starts with a clean slate next year.

If anyone hasn't watched this and is interested in getting caught set your DVR to record. The entire series will be played starting on Wednesday. You can watch it all without getting Paramount Plus subscription, just by recording it.

I'd highly recommend this.  Probably the best show on TV currently.

I personally know six people who tested positive the week before Christmas because they were exposed and were concerned about family.  Not one of them was sick. Makes me wonder how many asymptomatic positive people are out there.

I'm currently feeling sick.  Headache, congestion, cough, sore throat, borderline fever, and stomach is a bit queasy.  Started Thursday evening and got a lot worse yesterday evening, and today I was so tired a barely got out of bed for more than 5 minutes most of the day.  Took a test and it was negative.  If I still feel bad tomorrow, I'll try to take another test.  Seems like it's a crapshoot.  Healthy people test positive and vice versa.

I'm good with that. You pay for the risk you choose. Smokers pay more don't they? Free choice. You choose to live a certain way that creates risk, you should pay more for that risk. Unvaccinated people have a much higher risk of hospitalization and death. If they choose to be unvaccinated, they should pay to cover the added risk of that choice.

Not everyone who is overweight is so as a result of lifestyle choices.  Some medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism for example can lead to obesity.

Another thing that's not included in recruiting rankings is transfers. With transfer portal so big now almost as important as HS recruiting.

I think an argument could me made that the transfer portal is more important.  These high school kids often are not ready to contribute right away and several of them end up being bust and never make any impact on the field.  More often than not, teams using the transfer portal are getting a player who has proven that they can play at the college level and are ready to step in immediately and fill a position of need.

That's probably where I'd get my UofL news...

He's actually been right quite a bit on UL stuff.  I don't really care for him but I'll give him credit on having good sources.

I think UC is in no matter what now. Also In that scenario you just mentioned. If Bama loses to Georgia, then Notre Dame actually has a chance to slip into that 4th spot. Notre Dame at that point would only have one loss and that would be to the #3 team in the country at that point. So I think a one loss Notre Dame would be in over B12 Champ Oklahoma. Now if Oklahoma State wins the B12, then they may have Oklahoma State jump Notre Dame.

It will be interesting, and that Georgia/Bama game will be a big game now for a few teams.

I don't think Cincinnati was going to lose that day regardless, but you could make a case to soften the effects of that loss by the fact that Notre Dame's 3rd string QB lead the team in passing attempts that game.  (I thought he actually looked pretty good considering the circumstances.)  That being said I don't think Notre Dame should be included in the playoffs.  They really haven't had a good win all seasons.  Their opponents excluding Cincinnati are a combined 52-56 on the season.

I read they are so prevalent in Western KY that KY Fish & Wildlife doesn't receive sighting reports of them anymore since people are just used to seeing them now.

I've lived in Owensboro my whole life and don't recall hearing about armadillo's here until this year.  I've seen one on a ring video (posted of Facebook) a week or two ago and there was a dead one down towards the mall on Frederica St. around that same time.

Dan Shulman ,Jay Bilas, and Holly Rowe on the Call of the games at the Champions Classic. Dick Vitale has Chemo and has to miss his 1st Champions classic.

I hate that for Vitale and wish him the best in his recovery, but he would have been insufferable talking about Coach K during that game.

I came to vote but I didn’t see Rally’s fries on the list so I will say that if I get the absolute best of both fries from Mickey D’s and Wendy’s then the answer is still Rally’s.

I can respect that.  I still think McDonalds fries at there best are superior. They don’t need all that seasoning to be amazing.

  14. I was late to get into this but me and the wife binged watched all three seasons in about a month.  I really enjoy the western setting, makes me want to visit Montana, think I'll fly though and avoid the train station.  Rip is my favorite character.

Besides Ryan Bingham, the show has featured a lot of really great country music from artist who don't typically get any radio airplay.  That's my favorite music by far.  Some of the other artist featured have been Whiskey Myers, Blackberry Smoke, Cody Jinks, Whitey Morgan and the 78's, Casey Donahew Band, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Turnpike Troubadours, Zach Bryan, etc.   The fact that this show has been so popular has been great exposure for these artist.  Can't wait to see who they feature in season 4.

With all of the new talent at UK I see Allen as one that will not have much PT?  Toppin and Mintz also will have fewer minutes.   Look for two to leave by Christmas?

Where could Mintz really go.  He's already played in 120+ games over four full seasons.  If he were to stay til Christmas would he even be eligible anywhere else.  He's already 23 years old if anything if he were to leave at this point I'd have to think it would be to go ahead and try his luck overseas.  He's not going to play in the NBA.  Ray Harper used to take D1 transfers with half a semester of eligibility left back when he was at KWC, but I can't think that is very common and if he were going to drop to D2 he might as well go somewhere that he can get paid.
