  1. Palmer is one of the most overrated passers in the entire NFL. Romo has a better completion %, better passer rating, less INT's, more yards and more TD's. Granted he threw a little over 80 more times, the numbers don't lie.
  2. Passer's standpoint: I'd rather have Romo on my team. Have you seen Palmer's accuracy over the past couple of years? Abysmal to say the least... As far as a leader's standpoint, I'd rather have Carson, though.
  3. Braun would be a ridiculous addition but the chances of that happening are about 1% or less.
  4. I wasn't saying necessarily for us I was just stating what they were looking for. Another reason for trading Werth is to clear up salary space for who ever they try to bring in to pitch.
  5. I think they'd rather have a solid starter for the stretch than Werth. Domonic Brown is the Phillies top prospect and is hitting far above .300 in the minors so I don't think they would skip too much of a beat. It makes sense.
  6. Pitching. He's good bait, I guess. They have Domonic Brown to fill in for him.
  7. 25 to Life has quickly become my favorite on this album.
  8. I like the idea of pursuing Podsednik, too. Especially with his base stealing skills and OBP. I just think this teams lacking a bat in the middle of the lineup also in the 5th or 6th hole.
  9. He's not a top 5 player by any means. The fact that he re-opened his recruitment and listed a lot more schools shows me that the interest from Kentucky hasn't been what he's expected. That's what I've taken from his recent comments.
  10. Bronson makes two mistakes in a row. That was dumb pitching Edmonds in his wheel house on a 1-2 count twice. Stupid mistakes.
  11. Who went through the same things Dez is going through now. It's part of joining the NFL whether you like or or not.
  12. It's earning your stripes as a teammate rather than earning your stripes as a player. Like someone said it's keeping egos in check.
  13. Again, if hazing in fraternities was simply picking something up for an active member no one would ever hear about fraternity hazing. Unfortunately it's usually more than that. Apples and oranges.
  14. Look at the big picture here. He's bringing in a set of shoulder pads into a locket room where he's headed anyways. It's not a big deal. Some people are sensitive and don't understand new guys need to earn their stripes.
  15. It's a way of showing respect to the guys that have been there. It's a way to earn your respect from the team. My senior year of baseball all of the new sophomores on varsity took in the equipment balls bats etc. after practice no questions asked. The ones who didn't earned no respect from the older guys. The ones that did earned their stripes and were brought into sort of a circle of trust. It's more than just doing chores for others.
  16. Any new guys working any job usually start out getting shafted in their duties. They work their way up the totum pole. Roy went through it so should he.
  17. Hazing is hazing...this is an acceptable form. He should have taken the pads.
  18. If picking up pads were a form of hazing in fraternities who would care? Apples and oranges IMO. If Roy made him chug a fifth of vodka and make him sit on all fours for hours and take dip spit in the face, then yes Dez should stand up for himself. It's taking in a set of shoulder pads. Every rookie does it not just Dez. Why should he be treated any differently?
