  1. Not even close.

Birds by five touchdowns and CCH probably pretty close to the same.

And if you wondering why I started this thread go to the below link:

    http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-football-high/cooper-best-team-239004.html

Agree....Highlands has the speed and a lot of depth and talent...Cooper has a nice team but you beat Boone by ten points....that wont cut it if you are wanting to be the top team. Highlands and CCH would be a 28 point favorite against Boone.

  2. The TitleTown rivalry is this Friday at Boyle County.

Both teams are 1-1 after week 0 losses to NKY powers Simon Kenton who defeated Danville and Highlands who defeated Boyle County. Week 1 brought a Danville victory over Lincoln County and Boyle County defeated Collins.

This will likely be Danville's toughest test in this young 2012 season and the Danville game always is an intense emotional game for Boyle County. I expect a great game with Boyle County taking control of the game in the 2nd half and winning by 14+ points.

    I can't wait.

    WHO YA WITH!!!!!!

Being from Northern Ky and knowing that Simon Kenton is not a power...I will take Boyle by 21.

  3. So you think it comes down to berries? I think it comes down to schools making good decisions on scheduling and putting Colerain on the schedule was not a good decision for Ryle. The real test will be what Ryle does in future years with their schedule.

Right on! Only 3 or 4 teams in the state have any business playing Colerain and Ryle is not one of them.

  4. There was new speakers installed three years ago before the X game it's not the sound system it's the operators. We tried to give the old man a retirement cake two years ago but was told no way he does the games as long as he wants. Some people just don't like change.

Everything about the PA system at the Highlands game is as bad as it gets....it is awful. Say what you want about the game being the most important thing but come on Ft. Thomas...is it really the hard to get it to sound good and to understand who made a tackle every now and again. And as far as change goes...at sometime you got to give it up....last night it sounded like a air horn got stuck for 5 min straight at the end of the first half...awful!

  5. Wyatt Earp managed to serve his entire career as a peacemaker without taking a bullet. Even though at times a spirited effort by the Lady Eagles of Scott made the Lady 'Stangs feel they might be at the OK Corral, in the end all was well. Like Wyatt Earp they dodged a bullet. Bishop Brossart rallied to fight back a determined Scott attempt 54-52 in the opening round of the 37th District at Campbell Co. Middle School.

When the smoke has cleared Brossart (25-6) had won their third straight berth in the 10th Region Tourney while Scott finished (5-28) on the season.

It was the old “trap game” many call it, where you are playing someone that has a non impressive record and looking ahead to the finals and your crosstown rival. The game saw16 lead changes and 9 ties.

Early Scott made some runs leading 16-14 after the first quarter. Brossart battled back to tie it at 27-27 at intermission. Things started to get scary in the third quarter as the Lady Eagles went ahead on a Taylor Stinson jumper 34-27 with 4:06 remaining. Brossart though pulled within two by the end of the third quarter and set the stage for last quarter heroics. They took the commanding lead at 51-44 and held on despite being outshot 50% to 28% for the game from the floor.

Sophomore Madison Eisenmann gave the team a huge spark tonight playing just 15:26 but scoring 13 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, handing out 2 assists and rattling the Scott defense with 9 steals. Junior Maria Greis came up huge also for the Lady 'Stangs with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Sophomore Sarah Futscher grabbed 12 points and had 6 rebounds while dishing out 3 assists and gabbing in 3 steals.

The swarming Brossart defense was a big factor again forcing Scott into 29 turnovers while committing just 12. Junior Rachel Hartig chimned in with 6 points and 6 of the steals. The team had 28 steals.

Bishop Brossart had a 15-13 edge in free throws, a 13-7 advantage in points off turnovers, and a 15-9 lead in points off the bench. They both battled to a 39-39 tie on the boards.

The 'Stangs will now take on the Campbell County/Calvary Christian winner Thursday night at 7 PM.

Ole Wyatt would have been proud.

Wow! Brossart forces 29 turnovers to a 4-28 team in Scott and wins by 2??????????? I dont know which team should be more upset...Brossart for not taking advantage or Scott for giving them the ball 29 times!

  6. Congrats on playing nobody and beating them by 46 and 50 points. Who up next? - Silver Grove, Dayton, Bellevue? Reality check! Of corse everyone lookes good. I bet theres 7th and 8th grade teams that can beat Newports Varsity.

Up next Cov latin and then its on the road to Augusta......Come on BlueKrush....i think NCs record speaks for itself the last 3 or 4 yrs. Not sure who you root for and i dont have a dog in the fight but if i was guessing....NC beat your team last yr. You can question a lot of teams about scheduling but NC is not one of them!

  7. And BG averaged 11.4 ypc. plus 217 yds through the air(24.1 yds per catch). The birds also gave up 205 yds. on the ground. BG held FS to minus 7 yds. rushing. So which BG evil do you want to defend ?

Anderson County would not have won 2A!.....lets just agree that it would be a good game......BG had 4 yrs to play the birds and win and now that the birds are in 4a oh well we are better now. It would be a good game but dont tell me BG would win. Whats next...Boyle county fans saying..."well we would have beat Highlands if they were in 4A the last 3 yrs"....come on. Your good teams just have bad timing.
