  1. I saw the Scott Co. HHS tape. SC gave HHS a lot of turnovers leading to cheap easy scores. I'd like to see a SC HHS game with no turnovers.

I love how HHS blows out a big 6 A school and now its about turnovers and Scott Co. is a much improved team....come one man if they play again it would be worse. We know HHS is going to get 50 plus the question is how many the defense wants to allow.

  2. News alert.

Lets be clear, Highlands will not be the favorite in this game nor should they be. Your comment suggests that Highlands is the better team and Elder will give them all they can handle and they better watch out. Highlands will have to play perfect to get this Win imo.

Any NKY team including Highlands playing any of the GCL powers will always be the underdog. :thumb:

It did sound like Highlands would be the favorite and I agree with you that they are not. Elder is much improved from last yr and Highlands is slightly less than last yr. Birds will have to play flawless and spread it out on offense. Highlands will struggle to run on Elder. The defense better come to play...the most important thing is no injuries...at the end of the day that is the key.

  3. It appears to me that the HHS fan base desire to play SK is solely to humiliate one individual. Pathetic and immature. Talk to us about playing the best when you have played Trinity in a game that COUNTS!!!!!!!

Trinity is on another level right now...i get it...but come on talk to you....St X in 08 and Elder in 11. 5 state titles in a row. SK should never lose to a 1 or 2a school. If they want to compete with the big boys...play somebody and beat them sometime.

  4. ...the Highlands big TE is from Villa Hills. Highlands with another great Kenton County athlete. :D

I cant believe he went to Highlands and not Simon Kenton. Apples and Oranges....one team dreams about state titles the other one trying to get to 30!

  5. Boyle County hosts Dixie Heights next Friday at Boyle County High School.

Boyle is 1-3 and has lost its last two games to Danville and John Hardin. Add in the season opening loss to Highlands as well as a victory over Collins and you are looking at what some believe is easily one of the toughest schedules in the state seeing that all of these schools are ranked. At first glance the game against Dixie Heights looked to be a welcoming sight but Dixie Heights upset Conner last night and may have found that necessary mojo to make some noise in the NKY 6A. Dixie was down 24-7 before a storm delay and outscored a very good Conner team 26-7 after the delay to win 33-31 to capture their first victory of the season. In this battle of 1 win teams I'll make the easy and safe observation that the team that wins the turnover battle will win this game. With the way Boyle is turning the ball over that has to make the Dixie faithful look good.

Will Boyle go 0-NKY this year? We'll see. Add the quarterback controversy at Boyle(I have no clue who will start....Senior Casey Whittle or Freshman Josiah Robbins) into the mix and this looks to be the most intriguing game amongst two 1-win teams in the state.

Last game before district play begins. Who ya got?

    I'll take Boyle 24-21

    Boyle by 21.....no worries Purlepride
