  7. Oldham County hosts Spencer County in the final game of the Ronald McDonald House Classic today. Live video coverage begins about 8:30 pm ET on The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN Oldham County moved to 4-0 last night with an easy 68-28 win over Trimble County. The Colonels led 31-3 after one, 56-10 at the half, and 73-17 after three periods on the way to the win. 14 Colonels played and 12 scored, led by Tyler Slone's 19 points and Deaton Oak's 15. Oldham shot 53% from the field, including 53% from beyond the arc as the Colonels hit 14 of 26 threes. Spencer County is wrapping up it's "Oldham week" - the Bears lost at home on Tuesday to South Oldham by 4, then fell at North Oldham on Thursday by 3. It's been a grueling week for the Bears, who at least will have had a day's rest. Sam Conley had an outstanding game Thursday against the Mustangs. CM
  8. t-minus 50 minutes till the pre-game show starts. They're sprucing up the gym here at Oldham County HS, checking the microphone, and testing the national anthem recording. Live video coverage on The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN Other games: South Oldham boys vs. Waggener Oldham County girls vs. Covington Holy Cross Oldham County boys vs. Spencer County
  9. South Oldham plays Waggener in the 2019 Ronald McDonald House Classic at Oldham County HS. Dragons are 4-0 on the season and led by senior guard Seth Johnson, who's averaging nearly a double-double at 19.8 ppg and 9.8 rebounds. Waggener come into the contest on a two game winning streak. The Wildcats are 2-2 and led by Dallas Rufus' 18.5 ppg. Live video coverage begins about 4:30 pm ET on The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN I'll try to provide updates as possible during the game. CM
  10. Maddie Clark scored a game-high 29 points for Oldham County and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark for her career. The OC senior hit 14 of 16 shots from the floor and added a free throw. Oldham improves to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in district 29 play. Trimble falls to 2-2 and 0-1. CM
  11. FINAL: Oldham County 64, Trimble County 42. Oldham's Maddie Clark eclipsed the 1,000 point mark. She finished with a game-high 29 points on 14 of 16 shooting from the floor (and a free throw). Trimble never recovered after losing the first period, 18-1, though the Lady Raiders more or less played even with Oldham the rest of the way. The Lady Colonels did, however, expand the lead to as much as 29 points at one time during the game. CM
  12. Sounds like it was a good game between the top 2 teams (?) in the 15th. CM
  13. Just not Trimble's night. The Raiders managed just 28 total field goal attempts against the Oldham defense - whereas Oldham shot 65 shots. That alone was fatal...and was largely due to the difference in turnovers. The Pegasus Sports turnover stats are very unofficial, but we had Trimble with 21 turnovers and Oldham with 6. Probably missed a few for both teams, but the difference was huge, regardless. Can't afford to give Oldham 15 more possessions, particularly on a night when Oldham shoots 54% from the field - including 54% from beyond the arc. Oldham defense was stifling in both the full court and half court settings. Webster appears to still not quite be 100% for Trimble, but he'll come along as he heals. Was impressed with Jennings, however; thought he was very poised under fire for Trimble.
  14. Did Shelby play that well....did Collins play down to their opponent....? Sometimes those cross-town rivalries generate some closer-than-expected outcomes. Never count out your rival. CM
  15. Very impressed with what Mike Hester is doing at W-V. SK gets the win here, but W-V is re-tooling very quickly after last year's 8th Region title run in what was supposed to be a re-building year. Looking forward to seeing W-V next Friday night when Pegasus Sports covers the Oldham County v Walton-Verona game in Buckner. CM
  16. Final Oldham County 88 Trimble County 28 Oldham 35 of 65 shooting 53.8% Oldham 14 of 26 beyond the arc 53.8% eight different Colonels hit a three Oldham shot just 6 FTs (made 4) Oldham led by Tyler Slone with 19 points and Deaton Oak with 15
  17. end of three Oldham County 73 Trimble County 17 Oldham has played the entire roster and 10 players have scored
  18. HALFTIME Oldham County 36 Trimble County 14 Raiders got their two FGs - a three and a two - in the final 54 seconds of the half. Oldham's Maddie Clark 10 of 12 shooting, 21 points CM
