  1. If "The Harlan Green Dragons" played all of their games in Class "A" football, they would have a better record. It takes a lot of courage for those young men to take on 4A and 5A football teams. At least they are stepping up to play in the next Class instead of stepping down in Class to play. Keep your heads up "Dragons", you are already winners in this thing we call life.
  2. Just remember campers- The Harlan Green Dragons are 1-1 in Class "A" football. Sure they have took some losses, but those losses were to 4A and 5A football teams. Might not be as easy as you think.
  3. One man does not make a team. I have never seen the kid play before, but I do know that it takes 11 and not 1. I will not say anything negative about any young man who plays the game of football. But, I know an old coach who use to tell his players that, "they put there pants on the same way you do", and I do know that the Dragons have this kind of thinking and to win, they know they have to play with all 11 and not just one or two. Good luck tonight to both teams and may the best team win. By the way, it's GAMEDAY:fight:
  4. Yes, I heard the Raiders played a great game last week. The Dragons have played some very tough teams on the front of their schedule and are better than what their record shows. Back at you for support for your team. It's nice to see people supporting their boys. Still believe it will be a good one friday night. Good luck to both teams as well.
  5. Yes, I have heard The Green Dragons this year has some hitters (#54,#13,#83 and#65) on their squad and are very big up front-"Just Young". So this one is a toss up. But I'll take Harlan in close one at home.
  6. Well, They better work out the kinks this year because they are headed to 5A next year.
  7. I knew the "Harlan Green Dragons" would win!
  8. I made my brags also, that Harlan County Central would win. Guess I was wrong. If the bears don't win against a team like Breathit County in 3A, how will they fair in 5A. Just wondering, thought with them being a 5A they would surely beat BCC~Just wondering.
  9. I have been watching football in Harlan for a long time. I know the tenacity of the Dragons, Trojans, Wildcats and Redskins. You see they all use to play against one another. So, I figure if tradition holds true for Harlan County, Breathit County and Pineville both will have a long bus ride home. Both the Dragons and Bears know how important their games are this week, so I suspect they will be wide open giving it everything they've got carrying on the tradition of Harlan county football. I have always said for a long time, if Harlan County football ever combines, the fat lady will sing, cause Harlan County has some fine athletes no matter what color they came from or what color they are wearing now.
  10. I have been reading several posts about the "Harlan Green Dragons". As I understand it, the Dragons have had some players to quit, some who have transferred to Harlan County and have a very small senior class. This alone is enough to disrupt any team. To say that the remaining young men at HHS might go winless is very unfair to the ones out there who give every thing they have in them to get a win. Every single one of those guys are winners already because they choose to stay and gut it out and not quit. I am proud of those guys on Green Dragon football team. It's nice to know the Green Dragon coaches are showing their young men how to over come adversity no matter what the odds are and that they can and will win no matter how small their school is or how many transfers they have had or how small they are in numbers. They will win because there is no quit in a handful of guys who has decided that no matter what the odds are, I am staying, I will work hard and we will win! So my hat's off to you, young men of HHS! :thumb:
