Wow great win SK, Good Luck next week. All of NKY will be pulling for you.
-
In all honesty none of the teams I ranked 7-10 belong on any top list. Odd year for NKY football.
-
I was debating between Bellevue/Holy Cross/Cov Cath for the last spot. I just felt that CCH had such a down year that Bellevue was more deserving, but I would not put up much of an argument if someone wants to claim either of the other two should be there instead of the Tigers.
In looking at Humped Camels' list, I will say that I most definitely think Ryle should go before Dixie and CCH has no business at all in the #7 spot.
Why do you definitely think that? I am not a Cov Cath fan but they played a brutal schedule and beat NCC and Dixie. Plus, they won a playoff game, so how you think Dixie should be ahead of them is very confusing to me. Ryle staggered across the finished line and lost thier playoff game...It's all opinioned based but I don't think my opinions are unsound.

I hope that SK can take advantage of that cover 0 that Male runs but in the end I think Male will prove to be to much. 35-10 Male. Still pulling for the Neer's though, good luck.

I'm sorry, but take the win and be done with it! :flame:
I second that motion... I guess being on the verge of an 18th State Championship has some Bird's fans growing rabbit ears.:bunny:

Deuce gets it running away, literally...
BTW, where will he be attending college?
Seems to be up in the air
From July
Despite several media reports, St. Xavier running back Deuce Finch has still not made a commitment.
Finch said reports that he committed to the University of Kentucky are false.
"I don't know where that started," Finch said.
The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Finch said he holds eight offers but is unsure when he might be ready to make a commitment.
Kentucky, Louisville, Illinois, Northwestern, Stanford, Vanderbilt, North Carolina State and Cincinnati have already offered Finch a scholarship.
"I am not ready to commit," Finch said. "I want to try and start narrowing it down some, but I want to take my time and make the best decision for me."
Finch, who missed four games because of injuries as a junior, ran 170 times for 1,620 yards and 15 touchdowns. He averaged a whopping 9.2 yards a carry for the season.
From August
Running back Rolandan Finch (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) plans to make an unofficial visit to Louisville Sunday for the Cardinals home game with in-state rival Kentucky. Those two programs, along with Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Stanford and Illinois are in the mix for the 5-foot-10, 205-pounder, one of the better prospects in the Commonwealth in the 2009 class. Stanford was first to offer Finch.
From October
From the Kentucky site...recaps his first official visit, to Kentucky, last weekend...talks about sitting down with Coach Brooks...Illinois is the only other official he is sure he will take but is also looking at Boston College, Northwestern, Vanderbilt and Louisville.
I hope he joins the Big Blue they need all the help they can get on O.

I think SK has been playing very well the last half of the season but I think Boone is clearly the class of NKY 6A this year and the program with the most experience in the playoffs. With that said Simpson was one of the best players I have seen play all year and in what I feel will be a very tight low scoring game he may make the difference especially if Boone is banged up a little bit. I will say SK 21-BC 17

Do you guys love and support the program or do you love and support the propram as long as the coach you wanted gets hired?
The only thing I am pretty sure of is if the W's were piling up this thread wouldn't be on here. This very public flogging of your coach is very unbecoming of one of the best programs in Northern Kentucky/State. I don't know coach Brossart or what mistakes may have been made but who would want this job with all the negativity surrounding this program? What is this about the third thread on this topic?
-
This one will be at least a 2 score bird victory. HHS 35 JC 12
-
He would instantly be the most experienced asst. on the HHS sideline.
You write this as if they need experience; as if they don't already have one of if not the best coaching staffs in the state.
-
I think this one has the potential to get really bad. I am hoping the Rebels call off the dogs fairly early to prevent injury for the remainder of thier run for another state championship.

Birds 42 to 14. Is this the third week in a row the Birds have faced a D-1 recruited D-lineman?
-
I think this is actually Pendleton's sixth season, but the first REALLY bad one. They played several years without being a part of the playoff system, and were scheduled to be a part of the Northern Kentucky AAA before things got reorganized. Before this year, a couple of three win seasons were the worst they'd had. I'm not sure what the problem was this year.
Injuries and other problems along the O-line from what I hear.
6th season 3rd different coach, not sure but I think. I know its Teegardens 2nd season but there is no foundation for the program. Its hard to build a program where no youth program existed in a county dominated by Basketball & Soccer. I think coach Teegarden will build a decent program there eventually.
-
Is there even a need for this thread?:scared:
I couldn't agree more:confused:
-
I don't know about LC but PC is in for a long hard night.
-
How about the entire O-line! They have been very good all year considering the PT or lack there of from last season.
-
I think thier record would be very similar if not the same, becasue lets face it Boyle county is very good. That being said I think Highlands is the class of the state year in and year out aside from 1 maybe 2 schools from TheVille and the debate isn't even close, IMO.
-
CAL by 10 + just a sign to PC admin Teegarden has got to go. He has been a loser since he took the job.
I guarantee that PC won't get anyone better who has more football knowledge to come coach, so how about you give coach T some time to build a program before calling him a loser. The program wasn't exactly top notch when he got the job....
Anyway I would like to see PC pull one out this week. I will go with a final of 16-14 in favor of PC.
-
I'm afraid after the last two weeks the Camels might just mail this one in. Red Colonels 28 Camels 14.

Is Simon Kenton the best team in NKY?
in KY Football (High School)
Posted
Simon Kenton has had a great run and has really improved recently, but lets be realistic, HHS is the class of NKY. I hope the Pioneers have a good showing but Trinity wins this one going away IMO.
