  1. All the credit to the Bruins in this one...they shot lights out in the first quarter(10-11 FG's, including 5-5 3-pointers) and were able to hold off an Adair charge late. CH led by 14 late in the 3rd, Adair came back to tie it with 2:30 remaining in the 4th, but couldnt get over the hump.

  3. I'll take Lincoln vs. West Jess, with Lincoln repeating to Rupp.
  4. Thursday games should both be great games, especially the Taylor Co./Bardstown game.

  6. I know I'm walking into a bee's nest here (with all the 9th fans on here), but I think some of you all are putting a little too much faith in Boone's win over Adair, and automatically assuming that the 9th will roll over the 5th. Sure they did kick their tail's up and down the court that day, but remember Boone Co. shot 60% and Adair shot 29% and Kimberland got "knocked out" (literally) in the second quarter. If I remeber correctly Boone had 8 three pointers in the first half of that game and it was still only a six point game at the half. Even if Adair doesnt come out of the fifth, It is not as automatic as some think that the 9th is gonna roll onto Friday at Rupp.
  7. Adair has not played CovCath. Boone Co. is the only team from the 9th that Adair has played. They played Boone in London at Christmas and were beaten by the Rebels. Obviously the winner should probably come from the 11th, 7th, or Mason, But for some feeling I think its about time for a darkhorse winner. It seems to happen every 7-8 years or so and that time is coming around again.
  8. The winner at Adair's senior night won $180...thats the highest one this year at Adair, but I dont know how that stacks up everywhere else.
  9. After watching the game and thinking about it a while, I think that the biggest difference in the game came when Adair could not score and Bardstown built their lead Adair had to come out of the matchup zone they were playing. The zone helped to neutralize the athletic advantage of B-town. When AC had to go man to man, Ballou was pulled out on the floor, which in turn set up big time matchup problems for Adair and weakened their rebounding ability. If these teams meet again, it will be interesting to see the adjustments the coaches will make. Like I said before, Bardstown outplayed and outworked the Indians all night and deserved the win. I have seen every team in the 5th play this season, and even though I am a self admitted Adair homer, I really think that if Adair plays to their ability they should repeat to Rupp. I think the winner of the 5th will come from either Adair, Bardstown, or Central Hardin. North Hardin and Taylor Co. has an outside chance, but things will have to go their way to get there. I just hope that the experience of "been there, done that" will help Adair on the big stage at tournament.
  10. Looks like I got off the the right foot, or maybe it was the wrong one, ha ha
  11. All the credit in the world to Bardstown. They played better all night and deserved the win. Hall was CLUTCH all night with all six of his three pointers coming at key points in the game. The Indians just ran into a buzzsaw tonight with it being Senior Night and Homecoming at Bardstown...I am not sure the Spurs could have beaten the Tigers tonight. Adair had two huge scoreless spans of 9 minutes and over five minutes with the 9:00 stint coming after they had cut the Tiger lead to three in midway through the third quarter. Good win for Bardstown, now can they do it when it counts. In looking at their season thus far, they were only 8-5 away from home and on neutral courts. So things may not come as easy at Hart Co. in the 5th Region tournament.
  12. The High School AP poll is a joke. There is no way to get an objective poll from only nine voters that are not evenly distributed around the state. The reason for the 13th region love is that the papers in that area are AP publications and have votes. Not trying to hate, the 13th has some good teams, but not four of the top 22. I have thought that the BG preps poll has been pretty accurate all season.
