What is the age limit in KHSAA?

Can't turn 19 before Aug. 1 senior year.

I love the way this kid plays. The descriptions in the article are dead on. I hope to get the opportunity to see him play again this season.

He is a heck of a player. I'm not sure kid describes him. Probably 6ft 2 220lbs and already 19. That young man will be hard to deal with.

Whew, that must've taken some digging to find anything 'not impressive' about Beatty's record.

No. I've always thought a coach is best judged by his record in close games. It took me about 5 min to go through his record on KHSAA.

The thing not impressive about his record is he 19-17 in games decided by 7 points or less.

Trinity will usually have 100 freshman. By senior year mid 20's to 40. Are these kids eventually cute from squad or just weed them self out?

UK will get and the attendance will be best ever I believe. My question is, what does Russell athletic and WKU pay to host? I've tried to find it but can't!

The Conference USA Chsmpinship game will be Saturday. The team with highest conference winning % will host. ESPN has the rights to game so they can schedule kickoff what ever time they want. I personally liked that Saturday college game also. But, the weather was perfect!!

From what I understand it's a done deal. 2017-18 playoffs will be within district. Last 2 weeks of regular season will not be used for district games!!!!

Are the kids allowed to have a sponsor cover expenses? Like the booster club or their school?

You cant do that now though. With the new MS regulations you cant play a repeat grade year either. So in other words, you have an 8th grader, who could be promoted, but isnt. They are now ineligible for HS sports, and Ineligible for MS sports as well that next year. Lose/lose situation.

They have always been ineligible for HS athletics during holdback year. If a student repeated 5th grade and was on HS tennis team then they could not play their holdback year. It's now included MS athletics. The middle school was put into affect because some schools were holding nass number of kids back at 1 time.

Whitley Co was listed as 2nd best FF shooting team in state but for some reason Casey Crisologo was left off individual list. He was 37-41 for 90% and was 7-7 Tuesday night for 44-48 91.67%.

Who will be the last team standing?????

Who are these players? Do any of them have D1 offers?

How many kids in KY have full ride DI FBS offers? I'd say maybe 10-20 which is less than 1% of graduating seniors. We only have 3 players in state in top 100 at their position.

All 3 (Butt, Dykes, and Fitzgerald) are old enough to be very young Juniors or older Sophomores.

Agree but they are also not to old to be freshman. If the extra year helps the student athlete get $4-5000 in athletic aide and helps increase ACT 3 points which is another $5000 then that's $40,000 saving in college tuition. So what they win a few more HS basketball games. There's probably not 1 kid in Ky that will make a living playing basketball. There are only a handful that will receive DI full scholarship.

Mike Fields tweeted that a kid for Tates Creek hit a half-court shot at the buzzer for the win in this game. Tough loss for Whitley.

Shot was little past half court. .9 sec ball in under own goal. As much as it was a dagger in me I wish someone would post video it was ESPN worthy.

About Boyle County coaches/players/fans to keep thinking Whitley County would just go away. Whitley County played a great game and deserved to win.

Wrong. Boyle County played horribly and Whitley County dictated the game. Whitley County made Boyle County play their game and other than that last call the referees did a much better job on Sunday than they did on Saturday. The fact of the matter is that had Boyle County played the way they are capable of they would have won by 10+. Instead they let Whitley County dictate the entire game and paid the price by leaving the decision of the game in the referees hands. Whitley County did what they needed to do to win the game and I don't think anyone has said otherwise.

 

And yes, I was there.
