I totally agree. I am not sure what they will do. The push to split is bigger than the other times. I really don't see why the privates would start their own association. If that happens...publics & privates won't play in the regular season. I don't think anyone wants that.

When the tssaa refined the rule that you could not move up 2 classes due to the multiplier...it reduced the multiplier. Goodpasture...Lipscomb...and Catholic all moved down a class. It virtually did away with the 1.8. I think that was a bad move. If Goodpasture & CPA had won...and they both should have.,.it would have fueled the fire even more.

Yes. Ensworth won the title again with a 19-11 record. Bowers coaches basketball too. They got a late start...still won.

That is the question. There is no good answer. Many think the tssaa will pull the trigger this time. I am not so sure. The privates very well could leave and form their own association. The open zone schools are in the conversation also. Being in 5a..you do not have to worry about the small privates. I don't think many 5a & 6a schools care one way or the other. I doubt I would.

Yes...that is correct. Div. I is nonaid schools. For most sports DI consists of A...AA...AAA. That includes basketball...baseball...softball. In football...there is the same during the regular season..same teams...same districts. But..for playoffs A is split to 1a & 2a. AA to 3a & 4a. AAA to 5a & 6a. Clear as mud.

There is a push to totally separate publics & privates. It was presented to tssaa board last Wednesday. They elected not to vote on the issue. Many think it will happen this year.

For anyone that cares: Class A Memphis Mitchell 56 - Meigs County 27. No contest. Mitchell beat Goodpasture in OT in 1st round. Class AA Jackson Southside 91 - East Nashville 83 in 2 OT Incredible game. EN was down 10 late in regulation. SS upset CPA in semis. Class AAA Murfreesboro Blackman 60 - Oak Ridge 58. Blackman came from 10 down in 4th by scoring 31 points in 4th. Blackman won both boys & girls titles.

Jujuan Jennings Blackman qb is a pretty good basketball player too. They are playing in AAA title game today. Here is a dunk he had against Memphis Hamilton.

I agree my friend. I do think BG should have let them know they were not coming sooner. It puts Blackman in a bind to get another game this late. BG's coach should have called himself to explain. Right thing to do or not...that is bush league.

Kinda looks like $5K could have been better spent somewhere else with the way schools struggle with money these days...private money or not. JMO

I've never heard a bad thing about Shadowens before. Maybe he had a reason to be upset. Gee...Blackman had 12 personal fouls & lost by one? Wonder why they only had 4 in previous games? As far as worrying about safety...that's just ridiculous.

BG should have played them. Their facilities are great & it would have made BG better...win or lose. Blackman will be loaded. They have about everyone back. I would like to know why they opted out.

Tilghman was probably the fastest high school team I've ever seen. Woodfork...Wyatt...Tremaine Donald...Billy Jack Haskins...Plillips...Kurt Barber could all fly.

I remember him winning 100 meter dash as an eighth grader. He may not have run track his senior year...not sure.
