Dont sleep on the Tomcats....
Ashland would be lucky to keep it under 40.
-
Matt Thomas which has been the best defensive player in the region for the past couple of years will be able to guard Jackson...
One on one, without help, I couldn't disagree more. And I mean that as no slight to Matt.

Nothing really other thanit is hard to understand what he is saying. (what word(s) bunnies stand for?)
Russell fans should be hoping (not hopping:D) that the upcoming schedule has a few :bunny:'s on it at the rate they're going. Perhaps that is the source of the bunny craze.

I guess the reports of Rose Hill's demise has been grossly overstated. Game was 20+ I've been told through nearly all the 2nd half. Congratulations Royals.:thumb:

Hicks loses coat at the 7:45 mark in the first quarter. Elliott by 45.
-
I think you'll be surprised at how good this team is.
Oh, I doubt that the result of that game will matter. If Elliott loses, it's "I told you so". In the event Elliott wins, OY will probably point to the fact that Christian Co. was overrated and had 3 losses already.

Boyd County not ready for Rose Hill's pressure yet,
Mr. Selby may have a little trouble shooting over Jackson and Euton
Rose Hill by 8
Shooter, I'll help you hand out the several helpings of crow when you're right Friday night. I suppose I'll say RH by 10

Skaggs scores 25 and the Wiz gets his first T for being 15 ft. out on the floor. I'll take Russell by 2.

You could sit Ferg out of the finals in the 16th regional tourament and they would still win it by about 15 points. EC is that much better than anyone in the regiion. But if you don't have anyone that can get the ball past half court when the press is on you can't score. I think John is a great player, no doubt but I don't think he is the best player in the region, he's not even the best player on that team. He may be the best scorer but not the best player
For what it's worth, which is probably nothing, I disagree on every count.
As a matter of fact, if Ferguson was injured (God forbid) they won't make it to the regional tournament.

I dont understand what you are trying to say.
I'm saying that posts after wins seem to bear out that they are the best Ashland team you've seen, after a loss it seems that they're overrated. Which is it? Or do I misunderstand?

I dont know abvout being embarrassed but I think a loose like this will help AShland because I think they were on cloud 9 and thinking they were better than they really are right now.
I wonder why!?

It as either broken or dislocated. I know that AShland was picked 2nd or 3rd in the region but this is the best "team" I have seen in a long time at Ashland. They appear not to care about individual stats and play hard nose defense.
Score was about what I expected.

Wow, I picked Elliott by 28, I was only off by 25.:jump:

Morgan is very athletic. Solid club, well coached. Congrats to RH on the win, good luck to Morgan as the season progresses.
-
Elliott doesn't play football, so for kicks, I'll guess Elliott by 4 TD's.
-
If defense is a prerequisite, Marques Dawson was the best defensive player I've seen in the 16th in my lifetime. He still holds Ky's record for steals in a game with 16 vs. West Carter in '03.

I love the Cougars and Coach Perry, but don't see them winning this game.....suprised to see so many pick Morgan to win.
I don't know why. Has nothing to do with Morgan.

Drove through Westwood yesterday and Rex was standing in the middle of the road. People had to drive around him. He just can't seem to stay out of the way.

I just returned from the game as well and I thought the officials were consistent all night. They called the exact same fouls at both ends of the court. They're were alot of fouls but they were all consistent IMO. Whether you agree with the way the officials are calling a game or not, being consistent is very important IMO. They did clamp down on the fouls but all 3 called the same way on both ends of the court. JMO!!
For some reason, I have an easier time believing your version.

Interesting game to watch. Danny Coleman and Ryan Bonner played overall good games. I thought Boyd would be better than what they showed tonight but Coach Zornes will have them ready by season's end. I thought the officiating was consistent. Consistenly poor. Ashland is the only team that gets hammered at HOME. I am glad that our boys prevailed and Coach Biggs did a good job of making crucial adjustments. We got the shots we wanted and if that five point swing wouldn't have happened it would have been a 15 point victory. We play again tomorrow night against Ironton, which should be a big blow out for the Tomcats!
:confused::confused:

Any stats?
Did young Skaggs see much time?
-
Troy is out. That can't help.

Congratulations to GCHS! Sounded like a great game, and thanks SunTzu for the updates.

If you stir any harder you might blow a knee out.:madman:
It looks like there is a lot of discord in the group (102-59, 132-64, 85-36)...
Wasn't stirring. Only repeating something I heard from an Elliott fan. And a rebuke coming from the king of stirring.
