  1. By the way, I don't like Pitino, Jurich, Petrino, or Louisville but I know several good people who are Louisville fans. I can honestly say I hate this for them, if this were UK is would be sick over it, believe me I remember the late 80's.

  2. I can see Pitino knowing about the parties. I can't wrap my head around Pitino knowing that his players were having solicited sex. I can't see that kind of detailed information making its way back to Pitino. Plausible deniability. This seems more and more like McGee taking matters into his own hands and making horrible decisions. The question I have is where did he get the money from if it wasn't his? Has to be a booster. Every school has a Buddy Garrity.

I think I agree with what you are saying. I just find it hard to believe that Pitino didn't get some whiff of info and just chose not to know. We maybe thinking the same thing. Either way he cannot claim that he knew nothing, just isn't believable.

  3. His first year...no probably didn't have the best roster. Everything after that, even the NIT year it can be argued the best individual talent resided at UK.

When Noel went down that certainly wasn't the case. That was not an overly talented team. Harrow, Goodwin, Mayes, Noel, Poythresis, Wiltjer. No way that's the best talent in America.

  4. No it's not, I actually believe him. Sometimes things go on that you don't know or don't want to know. Ultimately he is responsible anyway because he is the head coach, so the fact he didnt know doesn't matter.

I'm confused are you agreeing with me or not? Ignorance is no excuse, he is the head of the program, if he doesn't know what's going on? It's a weak excuse, basically saying he has no control

  5. This is from KSR and it's a classic.

Remember that time Rick Pitino took his Boston basketball team to the strip club?

The Courier-Journal’s Tim Sullivan does. He reminded everyone of that alleged trip from a 25-year old book, “Raw Recruits.”

According to the 1990 book written by Alexander Wolff and Armen Keteyian, Pitino’s Boston University team made at least one unscheduled stop following a road game for adult entertainment.

“After one upset victory at Rhode Island,” the book says, “Pitino was so juiced he ordered the team bus to stop at a strip joint on the way back to campus. There he led his players in wolf whistles, even disbursing dollar bills so they could stuff them into the dancers’ G-strings.” [Courier-Journal]

Louisville spokesman Kenny Klein, after speaking to Pitino, said yesterday, “It never happened. The team walked in to get food, thinking it was a restaurant. They found out it wasn’t and walked out.”

Yeah, okay. Because it’s so hard to identify a strip club

  6. Your not serious are you? I can't speak for LRCW but I'm as big if an Ashland fan as anyone. That said there are games that I am unable to make it to due to other obligations. I couldn't make the Ashland game Friday due to a wedding rehearsal. I couldn't make it to the UK game yesterday due to the wedding and wedding reception. I was able to record the UK game, but like LRCW I would like to hear as many details as possible for the Ashland game.

To be clear, I'm 100% kidding. I knew LRCW before he was LRCW. Let's just say I knew him when he was skinny.
