While Henderson County may score a lot of points (someone mentioned over 100 points in the regional semi's and in the 80's in the regional final), my question is do they play very good defense? Giving up 80+ points in the regional final game is somewhat of an indicator that they do not. In any event we will soon find out......

32minutes is absolutely right. I was at the game between Ludlow and Boone. The reason that Ludlow slowed down Behrens not so much a particular game plan, but instead the size of Ludlow's center. Notre Dame does not have that much size and will have trouble stopping Behrens on the inside. Who will win....you never know, but I like Boone to win by 5. Bradley is simply an outstanding point guard, and I believe she will be the difference.

You may be talking about this year only....but last year Assumption High School from the Louisville area was a very good defensive team. They held their first round opponent in the sweet 16 (Wayne Co. I believe) to 18 points for the game. Winning 42 to 18. It is my understanding that it was a record low point total for a team in the sweet 16.

If you are serious about your coaching responsibilities then you must scout opposing teams. If you do not then you will simply not have your players properly prepared. I have heard this saying many times "If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail". Be smart and be prepared. As a coach, you owe it to your players.

Campbell County Gold is average at best. My guess is that their record is way under .500.

CardFan......Not true about that IHM team. They were that good. The only time they ever played Grey Middle was when they were in 7th grade. They played in the St. Henry Lady Crusader Classic Tournament and IHM lead the entire game and won solidly. The game was never close. If Grey was as good as you say, then IHM was better.....
