West by at least (3) TD's.

I'll take the RAMS @ home. They'll be ready.
-
How many starters did they lose from last year's team?
-
Dawgs by 2 TDs.

Well my apologies then C.A., but it's obvious that Ram has his old spoon out again since Raceland loss. His one post, and the absence of post from other loyal Rams fans in the thread make it painfully obvious they simply can't handle losses to Ashland. And I just don't get it. Taking nothing away from Raceland, but Ashland should win every year.
Our kids fought hard, but Ashland was the better team.
I agree...on most years Ashland should win given their talent and numbers.

Get a grip LRCW...So now both of you guys have the right to tell Ashland who should and who shouldn't be in the press box? That's rich. Both of you please tell me who was in the Ashland press box Friday night that shouldn't have been in there. This is ridiculous. The sour grapes started late Friday night. I wish I could have been a part of that phone conversation,I wasn't referring to Ashland, I was referring to ALL stadiums in general who have people in their press box who don't belong there during a game. Raceland isn't an exception. Read the statement I quoted and then you'll understand that's what I meant.
Had NOTHING to do with the outcome of the game or "sour grapes" as you put it.

Honestly, not many stadiums that have big enough press boxes for this kinda stuff.
Some stadiums would if they got rid of the people who didn't belong in there In the first place.

Ironton wins this one at home.

RAMS by (4) TD's.

Russell by 3 TD's.

Trust me Brown is faster then anyone on the field Saturday night. Or don't you will see it come Friday.
I do know I saw Baker & the Brown Kid from West all year in track and he was State runner-up in the 200 in Class A & Baker won the 100 & the 200 in AA.

From a play call standpoint, it looked like we only ran about 10-15 plays. Seemed like each pass play consisted of a wheel route, deep post, and a sail route and only attempted 8 passes. We ran between c gaps for the most part, not attacking the edge very often, so offensively we literally, didnt do much. I think you will see more balance next week at Ashland. We will be fine, just have to make some coverage adjustments.
Raceland Rushing: 52-331 4 TD's
Raceland Passing: Davidson 5-9 82 yards 1 TD

No reason to panic. it's the FIRST GAME. Granted there's work that needs to be done, but the score is not indicative of how this game went. First I'll say this...West Carter is a much improved team and they'll win some games this year. However, Raceland's defense fell victim to several big plays tonight. West had 83 yards rushing in the first half on (2) big runs (23 & 64 yards). They finished with 105 rushing yards but were held to 22 yards on 11 carries in the second half. They had 63 passing yards, but 56 of them came on one play in the first half. 168 total yards for the game, so other than big plays the defense wasn't as bad as the score indicates.
Secondly, the offense racked up 412 total yards (330 rushing on 52 carries, and 82 through the air). The special teams are a concern right now but I'm sure the coaching staff will get it fixed. Way too early to panic guys.
And for the above post about #70 ...Coach Brown told me he used to be a running back a few years ago and has decent speed.

Interesting story that I wasn't aware of. Seems very deserving of this award. Sometimes coaching records don't tell the whole story.

Bath Co now has not one but two quality coaches (Poynter and Petersen) on the sideline and they have the kids in shape and believing in themselves. They played the Eagles straight up for a half when everyone said it would be a halftime running clock. They will learn from their mistakes in the 2nd half and I look for them to win 6-7 games on their schedule and get to the post season.
Bath also has an extremely young team this year.

This one will be closer than people expect I think. Would not be surprised if West went in and upset the Rams.
Raceland 42
West 38
No way the RAMS' Defense gives up 38 points to West.

GRC Reporter might be on to something.:sssh:

Uh....he has NOT passed away. Someone from the family should publicly clarify this because hundreds of people think he has!
According to the article his brother confirmed it on Facebook. Hope it isn't true. Don't shoot the messenger...

Some of the comments below the article state that he is not deceased.
Read the top of the article. This was an ongoing comment page.

Good story on Coach Randy Vanderhoof being back to help coach at Raceland.

Still see them as 3rd in a three team district despite the return of the Undertaker, I mean Rex.

Seriously doubt the RAMS need any motivation for the Musketeers.
