Well hopefully all will heal up and get better.

Well Hoof working with Nathaniel has been good. If you remember Hoof was the QB Coach as the Head Coach, so that's one of his specialty areas, and Nathaniel is reaping the benefits from Hoof's knowledge.Im shocked at the difference in this senior class this year. Bailey is just as strong but faster, Nathaniel is a completely different QB and probably the best SR QB we have had since Boyles, the entire OL/DL is playing at a very high level right now. We HAVE GOT TO CLEAN UP STUPID PENALTIES. But with Judd and Damon slowly but surely getting better and better our backfield keeps getting stronger and stronger. Nathaniel connected with 6 different recievers last night, so he is going through his reads and being effecient. He was 18/21 for 307 according to ADI. I dont think any of us expected those numbers from him this year, no matter who we played. Especially completing 85% of his passes.Looking foward, Greenup has a solid defense and will be a much better test to how we have grown since week 0 offensively.

The biggest difference is Bailey is 100% healthy, and finally back in great shape after his injury. That was evident during Raceland's Track season.^^^ But thats the big difference with Bailey this year. In the past, he would just bull you over or drag you. Now, he still does those things, but once he gets a glimps of daylight he is gone. -
Talon, any word on why they were held out?I haven't kept up with FHS much this year like I have in the past , but I was told something tonight by 3 different parents if true makes this win a little more impressive to me . I cannot confirm this but according to 3 parents I talked with said 4 of 5 Fairview's starting OL didn't dress tonight . Furthermore 3 of those 4 also started in various positions on Defense . If this is in fact true Fairview is a lot better than what I was crediting them to be . -
Well the real problem is that you have teams drop you, and the schools usually put limits on how far you can travel to play teams if it's not a district or playoff game. You only have so many local teams, and a Class A School is not going to schedule 6-7 3-4 A schools just to fill out their schedule. Raceland already plays up in every game except district games. Kind of a catch 22.I agree with you, this game as it stands now does nothing for either program. Right now East needs to schedule "down" to help build the program back up. Raceland on the other hand would benefit by playing someone a little tougher that will only help them come playoff time. -

RAMS by a bunch.
-
If the RAMS take care of the ball & don't arm tackle, they'll take care of business.
-
I bet money he plays since it's Raceland. Seems like players magically become eligible when the next game is against Raceland. Heck a few years back the RAMS played against the same player (who shall remain nameless) twice in the same year on two different teams.
Regardless of whether he plays or not, it should be an exciting game.
-
Left too many points off the board with turnovers, dropped passes, and not finishing drives. Tackling needs to be better as well. RAMS had guys in position to make the tackle on both West Carter TD's but couldn't finish. West has some nice skill kids, though, and when you don't finish they make you pay.
I think the focus level will be different next week, and the RAMS working on their mistakes will make a difference next week.

According to our stays guy, we had 325 rushing yards and 157 passing yards in 3 qtrs.
Our stats were posted on all (4) quarters.
-
Some quick RAM game totals...
Rushing 46-325 3 TD's
Walker led the way on 13 carries for 84 yards (2 TD's). Black 7 carries for 79 yards.
Receiving 12-157 Yards, 3 TD's (Davidson 12-27 157 Yards - 3 TD's)
Cam Webb led all receivers with three receptions for 99 yards & 3 TD's.

How would it be different if it were later in the year? Both teams should improve, but Raceland still would have the advantage in my opinion. If this game was played later in the year it would be different.Good luck to both!

RAMS by (3) TD's. RAM'S Defense will make the difference.

Ashland Varsity lost 8-0. Looked Ok on offense. Ran 20 plays passed or attempted to pass on 16 of the 20. Defense smallish and quick. True freshman at CB. Spring Valley is huge and both their tackles 74, 75 are D1 bound Tenn and Florida St respectively and are studs. Guessing both 6-7 6-8 and 300 plus pounds. Good experience for the new look CATS.
#74 (Nester) is only a Sophomore, but getting a lot of offers.

Updates will come soon. Cant find rosters here at Raceland so game report/article on Sunday will have numbers only. Pucs from all games on Sunday too.
KHSAA Should have rosters & info up on their website.
-
As of now (officially) we have 69 players on the roster.Team camp is finally over. Meet the Rams tomorrow night at 7. Then we can prepare for an opponent. -
-
Offensive line play has to be better, and another RB besides Bailey Walker needs to step up in order to give Walker a breather.
