  1. For the kids' sake, I hope that they do, I love it when smaller squads get a chance to go toe-to-toe w/ deeper teams. What is the depth like overall? The Western teams are so loaded with depth that it is tough to match up to.

They are fairly deep for a 2A team. I think that this is the most talented class as a whole that I have seen at WV. I think they have the potential to throw the ball much more than in any previous seasons.

  2. I was told by an attendee at the game that as a RB King is just too small to be effective against good competition. Maybe my source felt he was not elusive enough to overcome his size. Anyone else have any feelings on this?

Disagree with this. SiFi is going to be just fine as demonstrated in the Tennessee game last year. He and AJ Rose will probably be the change of pace back from Benny.

  3. They won't have as much size as they had last year.

Yes, but I think that they make up for it with athleticism. A lot more play-makers to mention on defense and offense. I think this year for the first time ever there will be a battle for QB with several different players having a real shot at it.

  4. Of course, you thought the same thing last year, but, imo, OB Cath and Mayfield were both better, certainly, as good.. I also think the east side is getting stronger and Danville, LCA and NCC should all be very good.. I also look for Murray, Somerset and Holy Cross to be pretty strong and capable of beating anyone on a given night. Lloyd Mem, Leslie Co, Glasgow and Prestonsburg should be pretty decent, as well. If I were to rank them pre-season, I'd probably go something like this:

    1) CAL

    2) Danville

    3) Desales

    4) Mayfield

    5) OB Cath

    6) LCA

    7) NCC

    8) Holy Cross

    9) Somerset

    10) Murray

    11) Glasgow

    12) Leslie Co

    13) Lloyd Mem

    14) P'Burg

    15) Monroe Co

Need to put Walton on the list fellas. They return just about everyone and have talented junior, sophomore and freshman classes. They got better and better as the season went on as evidenced against Holy Cross in the playoffs.
