I saw the middle school team play and the J.V. play this year. They seem to have some players to build around. Good luck to them.

Walton Verona has extremely nice complex in Verona. Check it out..

We had Coach McMillen on the show in week 1 or 2. He indicated to me that they would probably go JV for one more year before moving to the Varsity Level. That would make their first varsity season 09-10. According to him, re-structuring the districts is done every 2 years?? That puts them into 2009-10.

 

I have to agree about the facilities. The football field was almost done when I was out there last. They were working on the concession area then. Baseball Field, Softball Field, Soccer Field, Tennis Courts & A Cross Country area as well. The Walton-Verona School District should be very pleased with this facility.

 

They even put air conditioning in the gym!!!!!!!! A lot of alumni are jealous over that one. That gym got HOT:fire: over the summer. I believe I read the volleyball team was playing when it was 100 degrees in the gym.

They will play a limited varsity schedule and play jv next year. They will be playing full varsity schedule the year after that.
