  1. Football in March definitely gets the blood going, one thing about officiating, I’ve called college spring scrimmages the last two weekend and have em lined up through most of April, it definitely gets you excited!

    Glad you enjoyed it!

  2. 1) Stadium of Champions - Hopkinsville/Christian County - It makes me sad how poor attendance is in that tremendous venue. Admittedly, a lot of my love of this is colored by how friendly it is for me as a filmer, but it is a fantastic venue.

    2) Pulaski County - Beatuiful stadium and an absolutely gorgeous view looking out from the stands.

    3) Highlands - While it was a pain to park, I really love the on top of the action feel and the way the buildings sit so close to the field.

    4) Manual - It's been years since I've been there (2006), but you could feel the history in that stadium.

    5) Russellville - It's worth it just to see the gate and the elevated corner in the end zone.

Pulaski sure isn’t for the field, that field is horrendous, they do not take care of it.

  3. Got away from this for a while, but with the new rules being released for next year seems like a good time to start back.

7-2-1 After the ball is marked ready for play, each player of A who participated in the previous down and each substitute for A must have been, momentarily, between the 9-yard marks, before the snap.

This rule is basically designed to keep players from standing near the sideline and acting like they are in the game on trick plays. For those that don't know the 9 yard marks are the big numbers on the field. This is a call that honestly a crew will miss if they aren't really paying attention to the players between the snaps, especially when a team is running a hurry up.

  4. Who wants to play high school football in January, yuck.

Kids looking for a last minute offer I'm sure do. This was mostly started as a recruitment tool for University of the Cumberlands and then it grew and newer board members and sponsors moved it away from there.

  5. This is really helpful information.

Turning/ducking generally results in a foul call - the more common practice seems to be "covering up," which probably should be spelled out more clearly in the rules as every time I see it, it strikes me as difficult to guard someone with both of your hands covering your crotch.

I agree and 4-23-3(e) allows for the movements you are speaking of, but often times guard's aren't getting the benefit of it.
