Northern swept a pair of games over the weekend from Lincoln Co, 42-8 in the 7th grade game and 20-14 in the 8th.:banana:

Northern middle split a pair of games last night with McCreary county. The 8th grade lost 12-0 and the 7th won 28-8.:creepy:

The game will be a 6:00 kick off, should be alot of excitment in the air. Northern is a little down talent wise compared to the last 5 years or so, but from what i have seen they play pretty hard.:banana:

I dont know were you got that info but Northern is going to play that game,I can assure you of that. Northern has never even mentioned not playing.:thumb:

My son started out playing in th LCYFL and then switched to the PCYFL. Both are ran well, It just doesnt make since for a kid going to a county school to play in th LCYFL unless they have plans to move to somerset. The PCYFL is for kids attending the county schools and no one else is allowed. The best case would be for somerset to put a team or (teams) in The PCYFL and then we would have one great league.

I dont think it would be that great of an upset. Let me tell you why. Mercer lost around 22 seniors if i am correct. The kids that are juniors and sophomores on these two teams played each other in middle school with Pulasi beating Mercer and Harrodsburg both by rather large margins. I know when you combine the two it makes them stronger, but the group of kids pulaski has right now are strong minded as well as athletic. Pulaski wins this game because they are better.:argue:

I like Pulaski County's team speed and their hunger to win. I think with this being the first home game the advantage goes to the Maroons. Your final score: Pulaski 34 Mercer County 31 in a close one.:dancingpa

Well AVERAGE JOE, Tradition is made on the football field, I know that Pulaski hasnt played anyone very good yet but we will see what happens friday night. No matter what happens we still are better than the Jumpers. Maybee Our defense isnt that great but we could probally stop Garrad County, lets see how you do in your (tough) district game.:ylsuper:

You must not have read the previous post, The PCYFL beat the LCYFL last fall 20-0. It would not have been that close if not for the 2 inches of mud on the field.:laugh:

I am just saying we are one of the very few counties that have three schools not counting the highly populated Louisville and Lexington area.

I wonder just how good of a football program we could have if we consolidated Somerset, Pulaski and Southwestern . Would it be a good thing or bad ? My quess is we would give Trinity and St. X a run for their money every year. :ylsuper: :thumb:

:thumb: Northern middle school 7th grade defeated Clark Moore last night 26-18 in double OT. They had just come off a 4 OT game last week. 8th grade got beat 26-8.

:walk: I believe I made it quiet clear in the previous post that our kids were 11 yrs old, the same age that your kids were . Do you always have to be at a disadvantage ? By the way that was just our north team not the whole league.

We are in the same system with two different principles and they decide who can hold back and who cant.:confused:
